A friend of mine has a sister who was given a free home upon the death of their father....(not the first freebee she got). In order to keep the family home together for the 6 siblings, the property was turned over to her to keep for everyone. Now she declares herself "Sole owner" & lords over the other family members. Nasty remarks to her brother & his wife from her & her husband are the norm for every day. Most recently...."you need to get the hell out and move", and "You are our Tennants"

A little background....My friend, the brother, and his wife have lived continuosly on the property since February 1981. For a time they lived with the parents but payed a monthly rent. After a few years the son, his wife & the parents bought the house. The son,(my friend) payed the downpayment for a tract of land on the property. A mobile home was placed there and extensive landscaping was done.

Years pass, mother dies, sister-thief moves in with father after losing her home and takes over his life.....(pays no rent). Father takes son aside & tells him he doesn't want sister-thief & husband to have house. Son already has a home & life goes on. After death of father, son himself is quite ill & fears losing the property if he can't work.....sister-thief offers her 'solution'...SHE will hold the property for the family.

Which brings us to today....what would you do? Your family is trying to steal your home....when is enough?

It sounds like a bad script for a reality show or Jerry Springer. Legal lesson#1 "Get it in writing." Go to a lawyer. Maybe Legal aide could help if you are eligible
