I was told that the owner was sited for treating his horses in an unhumain manor. He was reported to have used barb wire to corral his horses in the barn. Funny that the barn burned two days later. With the horses inside. Some people shouldnt own animals.

That's an interesting story. The one I heard is that the horses belonged to a well known local woman and I also heard that she had been reported for abuse of the animals a couple of days before the barn burned. Didn't have anything to do with the owner though.

Well I happened to be watching the fire. It was so fast my nephew didnt see it when he left to go to Stewerts. When he came back five minutes later it was fully involved. One of the local horse owners told me of the man who was cited. Not a women. Im not sure but I believe the State Police would have to investigate. Without an insurance claim they probably wont.

I heard the fire department never requested an investigation. So I guess nothing will be done.

MFD wrote: <quoted text> And you volunteer how much of your time? That's what I thought! Close the mouth... Yes you should. Im was a 6 year volly on LI. So being a volly has nothing to do with investigating a crime. Im sure Middleville has a fine volunteer crew. I watched them put the fire out. If it is left up to the chief of a volunteer FD to decide is it is arson then I must say. No volunteer cheif has the training to decide if that fire was arson or not. Also any fire where there is loss of life being human or animal should be investigated by a trained arson investigator. Is your cheif a trained arson investigator? Why they leave it up to him to decide if it needs investigating. Puzzles me.

Wilbur tried this shit with me a couple times. Kept telling me he was the star of the show and I was upstaging him. Not hard to upstage a closet fag back in those days. The ladies were for show. I was going to blow him in to the ASPCA for doing the sheep. I was going to the cops when he was doing little boys he was getting from the movie moguls in Hollywood. So he tried to burn down the barn with me in it. Kick in the balls, kick in the head, no more Wilbur.

Someone needs to be held accountable for the lost of these horses. If you didn't want them. then you should of gave them to someone who did.
