AMEN !!!<quoted text>
I don't care about conspiracy theories, I'd just like schools that are not in the bottom 10% of upstate NY. I have yet to hear an alternative plan.
Also, yes Zaleski was a horrible teacher. We just played cards in his Math 12 class.
I too am very tired of this and that conspiracy. However, you are talking to parents whose kids perform in the bottom 10% of all upstate NY schools and take pride in it. I am not sure there is any fix to that.
There are other teachers who it is just easier to get a good tutor and forget about the class. Been allowed to go on for some time. That should have been addressed by previous superintendents and BOE's. We did not simply drop to the bottom of the academic pile overnight.
I do not know the man, but have to give considerable credit to Mr. Tutty who has done a very honorable job in the face of very difficult circumstances and not a great deal of community or BOE support. He does not have to do this. It is very hard to work with people who allow a district to get into this kind of shape over time and then blame everyone else.
