If you have any intention of becoming a CNA you might want to think twice about working at Valley Health Services. They work you to death, always short staffed and appreciate absolutely nothing. Not to mention that most of the people who work there are NOT friendly. They are very clickish, rude and insteading of welcoming new workers they treat them like dirt. This facility is rated # 1 blah blah blah. Yeah when the State is around its a whole different ballgame, but soon returns to normal once they are gone. The Nurses have favorites etc and most are write up happy if you aren't in their little circles. Just speaking it the way it is. Went on to a much better facility and glad I did!

What a whiner. Let's see how long it takes for your attitude to tank at the "much better place". You best rethink your calling in life because as a CNA, you are minimally educated in nursing, think you know it all about nursing care bottom of the pile scut worker and you always will be. Some has to clean hineys. It sounds like you need to learn your place. I pity not only the patients you are assigned but your coworkers. Grow up and learn how to play with adults.

As someone who has family at Valley Health I'm VERY disappointed that anyone would say such a thing about an aid! I see them bust there asses at that place! They do so much more then just "clean hineys" . They know more about my grandmother then any nurse. All the nurse does is pass meds and paper work- i did that right out of high school at the ARC... lpn's are becoming less important as you see in hospitals they do aid work. For any aid working at Valley Health I thank you for taking care of my grandmother. For doing everything I wish I could have done for her. For being her family by her side 24hrs a day. And yes, thank you for cleaning her hiney , because without you guys shed be full of bed sores like I've heard about from other facilities.

Thank you! It's nice to hear some positivity. I am an aid and I am by far smarter than the ignorant, uneducated people that make rude comments about us. I choose to be an aid to make a difference in the lives of the elderly and the other patients that need us, we are the eyes and ears of the nurses/dr's etc. We work the closest to our residents and have bonds with them. We are their extended families and we love and care for them! THAT is why we do it! Thank you for defending us :)

i worked as a cna for seven years. i once had a man who despite being 82 could still get it up. he was a dirty old rascal always making lewd remarks but at his age it was kind of cute. except when he started trying to grab me. that was kind of icky at least at first but then i thought,'why not?' so i let him touch my big boobs and ass and omg he loved that so much it made me feel good to make him so happy.

then one of my duties became to bathe him and other residents in the sort-of whirlpool tub we had. he was already hard when i took off his undies and he was also really big. again i thought 'why not' and knowing i would be alone with him i touched him in his tingle spot and started giving him a handjob. he came in like 2 minutes!

i had the bathing duties once a week and every time i gave him a handjob and showed him my big boobs and let him fondle and suck on them. he kept saying he wanted to be be inside but i said no, i had to draw the line somewhere, except that is until i started taking xanax from the nursing home stock to get high and said again 'why not.' this went on for like nine months and he said he was in love with me.

then one day i came to work and found out he passed away in his sleep. the next week i heard from a lawyer and found out he left me $650,000 in his will. i quit that job and didn't work for two years. spent time with lawyers after his two sons contested the will but there was nothing they could do, the will was as rock solid as my elderly lover was. today i am working again at another nursing home because i missed the work so much and the connection you make with residents. i love being a cna.

. I see CR is at it again anything to make the CNAs look bad. Just remember you may think the cnas are the bottom of the food chain but an rn with an associates degree is a bottom feeder by nursing standards

Yeah cindy, this bitch can see you right through her computer screen. She's amazing. It can't be anyone else but you. It couldn't be a current employee spouting off and hiding behind a bullshht cover-story.

If this facility is anything like the one in Ilion, it is a shht-hole, for the workers and clients.

"Not funny", don't be upset. If you were able to get and 80+ hard, you're great at what you do. Where are you working these days?

Where I work we treat our residence with respect and dignity . And in return we are treated with respect and dignity. I wouldn't settle for anything less
