I can't believe that after the complaints about the mess in Herkimer there are still people urging a vote for the current regime. Are you kidding me? While they are not solely responsible for the mess this village is in, they certainly have done NOTHING to get out of the mess. They are totally closed to great ideas and suggestions and just continue to do things the way they want. Heck, they even just voted to override the 2% tax increase mandate. And you seriously think things will change if they are revoted in? It's thinking like this that is destroying our village. At least Brindisi has some new ideas even if those fools on the board will do nothing to support any new idea. Go watch a board meeting and see how it runs and how the current board does what they want regardless of the popular opinion. What are they doing to prepare this village for when Remington leaves? Who cares if it's a former police officer. If its someone who can think out of the box, then it's certainly better than what we have. Ever tried to reach Ainsworth to solve a problem? Now, that's a joke.
Brindisi has been on the board for over a year now. He has been ineffectual and bombastic and is now blaming his lack of results on other board members and the mayor. What new ideas has this guy actually done any work on? All I hear from him is that the village should have this and do that but he's accomplished nothing. No one is preventing him from working on his ideas - he just doesn't do it then bitches about everyone else.

to not pay an extra $25 in taxes, but I can't decide what service I'd like to give up............ I'll think of something.......... I really need the road plowed, I really need water, I hope I don't need the police but no one ever plans on that, ditto obviously for the fire/rescue........... hmmmm......there must be something or should I just pay the $25.

Joey Malone stop getting your panties in a ruffle ... You should be worried you have no business making the kind of salary you make between both your towns . There are some families that can't even make ends meet and you are making over 100k a year !

It will be fun. Let's all watch Ainsworth try and make a decision without Katie being on the board. Let's watch and see who then becomes the mentor.

We are getting close to finding out if the village will go in a new direction. Tony has promised to end the lawsuit with the county and finally get the jail built at the P&C site. It's a private deal between the owner and the county and the village should keep its nose out of it. Tony has the experience at the Sheriff's office. Is it true he will run for sheriff once Farber beats Tenney. Boy will there be changes. Out with all Farber's stooges and a new group of stooges will come in. Enough with cops and make believe judges running for government offices. Send them packing . Disband the village and send all the cops home! We can't afford any of these jokers.

Electing Brindisi and Malta will be the final nail in Herkimers coffin. They have absolutely no real plans for any real change . And what are their qualifications ?? Ainsworth is an educated man with vast experience in running Herkimer. Electing those two will create a real circus in Herkimer. Don't just vote for them because you want change. Vote for the most qualified educated person and that's Mark Ainsworth

Elect Ainsworth? You must be kidding. Why do you think we're in this mess? He might be wise as to certain political departments and how they operate but he has absolutely no idea of what to do with Herkimer. The present condition of the Village is way more than he can handle. He has no vision to see a big picture. Neither can he envision a different path for the Village. Under his watch it has continued to deteriorate with no end in sight. Get real buddy. Elect someone who at least has a little vision and doesn't see raising taxes or the tax cap as the only solution.

Who will brindisi hire to run the village. He sure doesn't have the brains to do it. he has offered nothing on how he will make the village a better place. Malta is a wanna be but hasn't offered anything either.
I hope we don't wake up Wednesday with that crew elected. If you think we're in trouble with Ainsworth and Nichols. It will be crazy.

The only reason they ran is because they think that because they were cops they are qualified to run a municipality. Keep in mind they were patrolmen for 20 years. If they cant supervise cops I sure as hell don't want them supervising an entire village.
