Look at Main St. and the rest of the village and see how it has deteriorated with the current long time regime. Why in the world would anyone want to vote them back into office again when all they do is look the other way ? It's time for a change. Tony, Greg and Freddie have their hearts in the right place. Clean up Herkimer Village in more ways than one.

Saving the meters will help Main street. Then there will no cars parking there.

Will give all kinds of perks to the police dept - it's not right - too much conflict, especially with them saying why should the village fix the streets when we need a raise? I just can't do it.......... it will (1) cost too much,(2) cause too much dissention with all staff. Bad bad idea.

Brindisi can't spell his own name and couldn't investigate his way out of a paper bag as a cop. Can you imagine that buffoon being in the papers and on the news representing our village. Imagine his first WKTV interview. Howdy Doody Ainsworth is embarrassing enough. The one person that could make it worse? Brindisi. The cops in this village are on a power trip as it is. Imagine one as mayor another on the board, another on the legislature. Hell, we may as well make Joe Malone the next president. It is a sad state of affairs when our more qualified candidates for elected positions are policemen.

Brindisi lives on Planet Brindisi. The truth to him is whatever he thinks it is. Seriously. It's a mental problem.

Someone just called me and told me to go to this site and vote for Mr. Brindisi..no way would I vote for that clown. I saw him as a cop and he wasn't very professional and he had a uniform on. Shameful. Nope Mr. Ainsworth has my vote. They need to clean up our village but it looks like Mr. Brinidisi can't even clean up himself.

I see ignorant people still voice their opinions behind their computer screens, bad mouthing Tony Brindisi and Greg Malta due to their tenure as police officers? The real gripe is some people are afraid to vote them in due to the fact the corruption in this village will be found out! If you or any other loser on this page can do better, get off your big fat arse and run for office, plain and simple!

Hmmm..........this is quite concerning. Brindisi knows abut corruption in the village and he's on the village board and hasn't addressed it.......... he's waiting to be mayor to do so? This wwould certainly make me reconsider were I thinking he was doing such a great job on the board that he should be mayor. I think not.

First of all, with a name like Jerkimer you dare to call Brindisi supporters ignorant?

Secondly, its not the retirement bucks and bennies that are bankrupting the village. It's all the favors being exchanged between the the county and village, and the recent $4 million decrease in assessments (according to the Telegram) that is killing our village. Who is getting their assessments lowered (or taken off the tax rolls) while the common joe taxpayers are getting increases???

Wake up people. Brindisi, Malta and Weisser will be the best thing that ever happened to Herkimer ... in at least 15-17 years. They have the village's best interest in mind.

As far as being in it for the power? Any power is being totally abused now by the incumbents. The old regime has got to go. We can't afford four more years.

hey jerk off it is the retirement and bennies and the teachers union that will put this village over the edge.
Taxes

Things are being taken off the tax rolls when they are purchased by not for profits - like the ARC. Nothing can be done about that. If I want to sell my property to the ARC or to a church, etc., I can - no matter who's mayor. These favors you speak of, come on............... be for real .

The current administration has failed the community after 15 years the mayor is ineffective. He should just step down. His appointments were bad for the community an over paid fire and police departments our roads are in shambles and in need of massive repairs. Every department head has second jobs not paying mind to the village. We are highly in debt over many non winnable law suits and of course lets not forget the imbecile village attorney, I swear this guy is as dumb as the last village attorney. It's time for change let's move forward and elect a new leadership.

THere just is no money. Everything costs money - sorry there are no volunteer policeman, sewer works, road fixers, and on and on........ Tax rolls keep going down and down, cry about paying $25 more..... and bellyache about potholes............ tell me - how do those get fixed for free, how does a sewer get cleaned for free. It's public info - just look at the budget. It's there for anyone to see.

Maybe we stop wasting money on all these ridiculous law suits. Build the jail and get over it. This village is getting the worst legal advice. Roads can be fixed mayb if the DPW did something holes would be fixed. Crime would be less if the police were out patrolling instead hiding in the station whining on Facebook. Fire department so needs to be volunteer.

No, like most any other cop, Brindisi and Malta like the power trip. Brindisi had all he could do to get hired to begin with and never made it out of patrol. He still can't spell sergeant, let alone pass the test. He is the last thing our poor village needs. Hell, at least Weisser is a business owner which sort of ties into running a village. What are the two cops gonna do? Stand there, look around and go "yup, this place is a mess, now let's go have coffee." Ainsworth is pretty much useless but electing Brindisi would be an absolute nightmare. Sounds good to people now, until he gets there and you find out what he's really like.

I can't believe that after the complaints about the mess in Herkimer there are still people urging a vote for the current regime. Are you kidding me? While they are not solely responsible for the mess this village is in, they certainly have done NOTHING to get out of the mess. They are totally closed to great ideas and suggestions and just continue to do things the way they want. Heck, they even just voted to override the 2% tax increase mandate. And you seriously think things will change if they are revoted in? It's thinking like this that is destroying our village. At least Brindisi has some new ideas even if those fools on the board will do nothing to support any new idea. Go watch a board meeting and see how it runs and how the current board does what they want regardless of the popular opinion. What are they doing to prepare this village for when Remington leaves? Who cares if it's a former police officer. If its someone who can think out of the box, then it's certainly better than what we have. Ever tried to reach Ainsworth to solve a problem? Now, that's a joke.
