Do you think if the schools consolidated that the combined best players would be a team to reckon with? It is my opinion that if the potential players had to try out for a team and only the best made it, the valley would have a great team. No parents thinking their kid should play (it just embarasses the player anyway), but the best players making the team and playing. If you want to make the team and play then be the best you can be. Pride in personal achievement (whether sports or academics) makes for good and honest citizens. Just sitting here and dreaming.

The best was the player that went division ONE and had singular career in the NFL which ended with his number being retired. Now I forget, who was that???
Oh that right, we never had anyone like that.

Who cares. It's a 7 or 8 week a year sport. Kids who play and people who used to play high school football think they're all that. They say they played varsity for 3 or 4 years. Newsflash... They played varsity for like 6 or 7 months total. And most of the time they were sitting around on the bench or wandering around the field waiting for the ball to come their way. It's a nice pastime to keep kids busy, but stop glorifying it for god's sake. Who cares.

Most of the athletes, while being proud of their accomplishments understand it wasn't not all that. But there are some, well, that are stuck in the past.
