Is there something going on in the plaza where Auto Zone and Verizon are? There seems to be a lot of biker traffic in and out of there and it makes me nervous. I don't feel comfortable even taking my kids for ice cream out of fear that a gang war might break out. Can't somebody do something?

Most bikers are nice guys. I wouldn't worry about it. Good thing because Herk cops sure wouldn't do anything!

Comeon. You have to get out more often. Or watch less TV. I laughed after reading your ridiculous post.

You mean the TWO cops on duty? Because bikers ride their bikes to work that warrants calling the cops? Get a life...

I seriously doubt that too many bikers work - they are out all day and night all over the place doing who knows what and getting away with it...

i have noticed biker gangs loitering there too and it leaves me and my family deeply concerned. this summer has been bad enough with biker trash roaring all over town from gin mill to dive joint with their loud pipes and sleeveless shirts. thank goodness winter is on the way and they've have to put their Hardly Ablesons away!

Why are u all assuming these are bad guys instead of noticing and remembering all the good they do going on rides in memory of their friends or other wonderful appreciated things . Bikers called the Patriot Guard go to funerals all over the place to make sure no one disrespects the fallen soldier. Very impressive and so appreciated. Bikers nowadays are lawyers, doctors etc

Suspicious seems to have watched too much TV or something. There are BIG differences between clubs and "gangs" but the stereotypes of a person with tattoos, a leather vest and patches, etc. don't differentiate. There are bikers with bad intentions, no doubt, but to assume ALL people who ride motorcycles are dangerous or something to be afraid of is ridiculous. And, for Herkimer Resident, winter only means that non-biker peoples' awareness drops - if the roads are clear and the salt hasn't flown, a biker that true to the spirit will STILL be out there.

What a clown.
Name a biker in Herkimer, the gang he's in and when he was arrested for assaulting someone in a Herkimer establishment.

Keep on talking, HR... you get stupider each post... and this is just ONE example...

Hundreds of motorcycle riders rally to raise money and awareness.

Harley-Davidson of NYC, June 8, 2014
Registration 9:00-11:00 a.m.

NEW YORK (May 20, 2014)– Motorcycle riders from the Tri-State Area will converge June 8 in New York City for the 21st annual Bikers Against Breast Cancer event sponsored by the New York City Harley Owners Group®(HOG).

The largest one-day motorcycle charity event in NYC has raised more than $1,000,000 to fight breast cancer. It is open to all riders, all motorcycles. Riders and passengers contribute to this fundraiser and get to meet some of the very people their donations help. Police will escort riders through the entire 40-mile course which winds through Queens and Brooklyn, starting at the Harley-Davidson of NYC and ending at the Forest Park Bandshell. After the ride everyone can celebrate with great food catered by Cascarino’s of College Point, live music by Steve Marshall and the Deputies, motorcycle skill games, and motorcycle product vendors
