There is laws on speed limits as well!!! this was a 25-30 mile per hr zone, this young little boys life is taken sadly bc this person was probably speeding or not paying attention! and even going to fast to see a child playing on their bike! I live in apartments and yes parents should watch their kids but people drive so careless, and there has been many times where if I wasn't paying attn I could have hit a child. ThERE needs to be JUSTICE! The little precious boys life is taken due to such carelessness. I just hope the family gets JUSTICE!!!

well the newspaper said that she wasnt speeding and there was witnesses... and there will b no charges filed against her....and there has been many times when I am driving that a kid goes out in front of the car....I have even witnessed a kid speed on his bike, pass a stop sign and get hit by a car....talk about scary! and about justice....justice cant b served if it was an accident..... and if u know this family like I do you would know that they more than likely forgave her.... his grandpa is a pastor and one of the best around.....

Umm Well yes I actually know the area... And I have a sister who lives there as well, who knows the family. Its great that forgiveness is taking place. But still "Speeding on a bike" are you kidding me? this is a 9-10year old boy... I am sure it was not the young boy who was speeding in this case... Either way there is much loss, the boy was very big and people do get too comfortable and loose control or dont pay attention, Unfortunately this seems to be the case in this matter. The little boy was killed due to this car 'accident' and forensics would probably prove a devastating careless driving. Of course its really hard to own up to something like this. I have a son and if he was ran over I would much rather want the person to admit their mistake and carelessness;without that i dont think I could forgive them so easily. Everyone is different and of course the loss of such a wonderful son is probably hard as it is, so I understand how forgiving would be easier in the situation. I am speaking for the boy who does deserve an apology from this woman and who regardless of what a newspaper says is responsible for the death. Unless their is evidence scientifical and Forensics I will hold her responsible. Yes I am sure the lady is sorry for what she did and has to live with this the rest of her life but peace would lay at rest in her soul if she spoke up and said what really happened when she was driving, "I was looking at my grandchildren, I looked down at my phone, etc...." I am glad to hear the family is forgiving her,as far as the family pastor thats great, the lady has to live with this and God know what really happened.
