What happened to capital punishment for the killing of a police officer? Although the officer was not on duty, this jerk knew in fact that she was a police officer because of their relationship. 38 years is nothing for a scum bag like him. He'll be out in 15, with too much life left in him. This is why I don't get angry when the police shoots a crook in the line of duty. Sometimes the law just doesn't satisfy my thirst for real the case here.

Hinton should have hired Schussel, Garman, Sammy and Lang to defend him. They all hate cops.

He might have fared better in
court if he wasn't represented
by Weird Al Yankovic (as the picture
In all seriousness, this d-bag is
headed right where he belongs. He's
had his day in court, now he'll
have his days and nights amongst
his criminal brethren.
i doubt the next 30 years will be
anything nice.

The accused made a weak attempt of being a victim. Even if his story had merit, isn't it funny you confront the one who wants to murder you? Or even do so with the great possibility of that person being armed? Just another who got let off easy. But remember he was convicted of manslaughter. So overall he didn't get cheated by the system. Now the victim and her family & friends. Maybe. Like the story said, Hinton showed no remorse period. Who's going to kill him in prison? Hinton is a "big man on campus" now behind bars. Sadly it is the criminal justice system good or bad! Take it for what it is. It is the only system we have. At least till changes are made. Don't hold your breathe!

Bring back the chain gang! Put this fool to work!

Make him earn his room, board and meals that he will be receiving for FREE for the next 38 (well probably 16) years.

It's sad to see people losing their homes to forclosure, then there's people like this. A burden to society.

What a waste of tax payers' money!
