Officer charged with sex crimes

CATSKILL, Greene County - A Town of Hunter police officer was arrested today and accused of engaging in sexual acts with an underage girl, state police said.

I know this character and was appalled that someone allowed him to became a police officer. I am saddened but cannot say I am surprised. Hopefully this girl will get the help she needs and does not loose her faith in law enforcement overall.

I also know him and had the same feelings. How does someone like him, with a past like his become a police officer? I thought you had to pass a psych eval before you can work with the police. Someone didn't do their homework when it came to backround checks. I am sure he had the girl believing all sorts of lies. She is going to need support.

I live in the Town of Tannersville and the town cops and the state police up there all they do is go to Selena's diner and hang out there, remember PROTECT AND SERVE ... VERY SAD I REALLY FEEL BAD FOR THAT GIRL AND HER FAMILY , I REALLY HOPE THAT THE COP WHO DID THIS WILL ROT IN PRISON FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE :(

This is very sad. I used to know Nathan(this was over 7 yrs ago)... he was a nice person. I didn't even know he became a cop. Another commentor has said things about him in the same way as yourself... when did he turn into a bad person?Very confused...

Hunter/Tannersville and now WIndham is a "training ground" for the new state troopers. It's hard for even a sober person to drive through town and not get followed around like a criminal.
