Was looking forward to stopping for breakfast on my way to Churchill Downs last month from Chicago with a friend. We were in disbelief and disappointed when we saw that Schuler's was closed.
Truly a cool place.I really enjoyed the country atmosphere and the food.I told so many people about that place.I mentioned the Henryville exit a ton of times.
So,I need a new place to stop when I go to Louisville next time.Any suggestions?

Similar to Schulers is Marianne's in Scottsburg, IN-- the exit before Henryville if you are coming from the North - or in Louisville you could go to Lynn's Paradise Cafe-- truly a one of a kind place!!

Thanks COQ.I will definitely try one of the two if not both when I head back to Louisville in the fall.
I have been reading forums that are about the closing. In one of them I read that the owner of Schuler's daughter was going to open a place across from the high school.I'm assumming Henryville high and she was going to bring a lot of the same workers there with her.Sounded interesting but not sure if it will have the coziness of the old place. And,I must add that I'm about a year behind with all the news on the closing so who know really whatever happened. Thanks again.
