CENTRA CREDIT UNION : How to avoid all the $26:00 Fees

I have been a CENTRA CREDIT UNION member for several years. I have paid them my last $26:00 fee, because I just switched to CHASE. There are a couple of ways to avoid CENTRA'S $26:00 Fees.
1 - Switch Banks (Best Option)
2 - Sign their paper and "OPT OUT" of their courtesy pay program, YES, YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
3 - Stop using their online BILLPAY banking system.
CENTRA'S online banking is the worst screw up they have. They can't seem to get BillPAY and their actual bank to work together. If you set a bill to pay on the 4th, and BillPay doesn't pay it untill the 11th, then you get stuck with $26:00 fees because the money wasn't there in the bank on the 11th when they tried to pay the bill, whose fault is that????????The money was there on the 4th when it was supposed to be paid. I guess it's my fault! Or yours! CENTRA has even went so far as to tell me that it was the vendor's fault who was getting paid because they didn't process in time. What a load of crap to try and cover their ass. Their favorite line is "You still have to keep a check register!" What another load of crap. That's why I do online banking you Morrons. I don't have "ANY" problem with CHASE's online billpay system because it actually works and gives you your actual balance on the primary summary page instead of having to log onto billpay, do the math, and try to figure out what you have.
CENTRA better get their ducks in order before they loose a lot more customers.

1- Make sure you have money in bank before your bills are due. I have never had a problem with Centra.

2- Don't do auto pay.

3- see option 1

I dont see how anyone could or even want a bank to have that much control over their weekly/monthly debits.I pay my debits online with my card myself,I want to know when and where my money goes.I put my money in and its their the same day I wish to use it.I still pay cash for most things but yes I use my card ocassionly.OAutomatic bill pay is just ignorant to let someone have control of your money that way.

Dont do autopay!Period! And make sure you have the cash which is more then likely the biggest problem.
