I am from a small community in East Central Indiana. I teach the After School Program at the local Randolph County YMCA. My students were greatly impacted by the devestation left by the tornado in Henryville. Each year we contribute to others by doing two community service projects. Following the tradegy in Henryville, the children have asked if we could donate items to children in the area. They are so willing and eager to help, however, I have reached out to the Red Cross and Salvation Army and haven't been able to get any information about what or how the children can help/donate items. They have came up with a goal of donating school supply type things for the Jr/Sr High School as well as board games, books and various things for the children living in the shelters to help keep them entertained. If anyone has any idea of who to contact, or how we can arrange something like this, we would Greatly appreciate it!! Thank You & God Bless!

We have been to Henryville on two seperate days and my suggestion would be to wait a few more days and allow the confusion to settle. What you are doing is so thoughtful and helpful, but the people seem so overwhelmed.
You might try calling the sheriff's department to ask or maybe the school board. I heard school may resume soon for Henryville Jr. Sr. High at other locations.
