I am sure many of you have heard about many instances lately about gun related issues in schools that do not actually involve real guns. Many children have gotten in trouble after drawing guns or making gestures with their hands representing guns, but now there is another example of something similar happening in a high school in Florida.

A 16-year-old high school student in Fort Meyers, Florida was suspended for 3 days for wrestling a loaded gun away from another teen who was threatening to shoot. The 16-year-old tackled a 15-year-old classmate on the school bus after he allegedly pointed the gun at another student.

The student expressed that he felt there was an immediate threat that the student would use the weapon then and there.

According to the referral the student received the following day, he was suspended for his role in an "incident" where a weapon was present and given an "emergency suspension," the station reported.

The boy's mother told Fox4Now.com her son was suspended because he refused to cooperate with the investigation, adding that he was scared.

The student with the gun was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm on school property and assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, the report states.

The police say the investigation is ongoing and school officials have declined the request to comment on the case.

Does anyone else think it’s kind of crazy that now students who are acting in heroic ways are being punished? He attempted to take away a loaded gun from a criminal and he gets in trouble for being involved in the incident where a gun was present? Isn’t this getting a bit out of hand?

This country is doomed. Must not fit the liberal agenda.

The Liberals wanted the kid with the gun to increase the gun violence stats ... and their opportunity to exploit it was wrestled away from them.

They probably suspended our hero becasue he believes in defending himself & others ... which too closely resembles the second amendment.

For some reason, the government does not want us to defend ourselves nor do they want us to help others in danger. There are actual laws against it.

Have you looked up your self-defense options in NYS lately? There are none. Jut stay calm, be complacent and do what they say. F*** that!

I am a law breaker, not because I want to be but because NYS dictates that I have to be in order to defend myself. The liberty you have is the liberty you take. I'll be damned if some c*** su**er in a suit has a say whether I live or die. Kudos to that kid on the bus and I am sure that regardless of the liberal school system, he is feeling the same sentiments as mine from across the nation.

I posted the article. I can't exactly read it to you. Will this help?

I wonder if the "Hero" would have grounds to sue the morons & school district that suspended him.
From what I have read I would love to see the "hero" cash in on this.

Exposure to a hazardous environment? If we can't defend ourselves then the school has the burden of providing a safe environment.
