Grain/Concrete Silos Could Become New Waterfront Attraction

The Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation hopes it has hit upon a unique way to use some landmark structures along the Buffalo River as a tourist attraction, without spending millions of dollars to improve or renovate them.

RDX is powerfull stuff ... you planning to turn a silo into a rocket?!?
A mortar was my thought. I used to work for the company that manufactured linear shaped charges used in demolition; test day was always a lot of fun.

1) Open up the land of Bethlehem steel and expand tghe roadway..Make sure all the lights are synchonrized..perhaps make it an expressway..with that much land available there should never be a day where traffic gets backed up in the mornings going into the city or at night leaving the city.
2) Create "spec buildings" on the waterfront to allow citizens to operate small businesses on the waterfront.
3) Partner with a developer to put affordable apts on the waterfront for working class schmos like me.
4) An indoor multi-recreational sports facility on the waterfront would be nice. It could have an indoor track for walking, soccer, football, things like indoor baseball or t-ball...an ice rink..
5) A beach..do you know how many people from Buffalo, Hamburg etc go to sunset...all that money could stay in Buffalo if they developed a nice beach/club/restaurant for the summer. But then...there's the smell of cheerios...Could be worse tho.
6) Expand the metro to the waterfront.
7) I wonder if I can get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for creating this plan.....
What the hell is wrong with you? There is no way anything that makes sense will ever happen in Buffalo. I'm still waiting for my monorail from the airports to downtown with campus and medical corridor loops to get built.

Tear them down and put up a charter school, a Baptist church, a check cashing place that also sells Lotto tickets, a hair and nail botique, a KFC, McDonalds, a couple of liquor stores and an annex of the Holding center.

A day care center would also be nice and many basketball courts.OH ! and don't forget a 7/11 that sells 40s and tax free cigarettes and under the counter crack and other goodies.
