Maple Street Road is one that has Amish and horse buggies traveling on it, even in winter. It's a rural two-lane road. It has some twists and turns and a couple of hills. It is one I travel a lot, and the speed limit is 55. It is rarely patrolled, so people speed. It's a wonder one of those Amish peoples in their buggies hasn't been killed yet. At the same time, if you do see a Wayne County Sheriff, they are usually doing about 85 on this "back" road without lights or sirens. It is a back road to get to Rt. 104 or 14. It is a trouble spot in my opinion. This time of year, with the lake snow and slush, the road is even more dangerous than most.
