Metropolis Movie Gallery Closing

I have heard the Metropolis Movie Gallery is going to be shut down by January 1st 2010. They are keeping it hush hush to make as much money off pre-orders and Powerplay as they can before they do. What are your thoughts? Do you still rent movies from MG or do you rent elsewhere? It's a shame they shut down Video Elite and Budget Video and are now going out of business themselves... after ripping everyone off with their "discount" programs and ridiculous late fees charges.

i really cant see how any of the video stores are staying open. netflix was a big blow to their business, and you can order a new release movie on comcast on ppv the day it comes out..and cheaper! i saw the writing on the wall when MG opened the tanning beds. HK those discount programs were damn near robbery and the late fees...ughhh. i could have bought the DVD. if MG, blockbuster, hollywood etc. dont adjust i see all of em gone n less than 5 years.

they should have never opened. i have been too other movie galleries and this one has the poorest selection i have ever seen. close the door
