Two men riding a motorcycle in Osage County near Prue have died in an accident authorities say might have been alcohol-related. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 45-year-old Billy J. Mayer of Prue and 37-year-old Christopher H. Hendrix of Prue died in the accident, which happened about 7:40 p.m. on Monday on a country road northwest of Prue. Full Story

You have to be a complete idiot to post without the facts. It says "alcohol may have been a factor". Like you, no one got the facts. They just assume the worst. You know nothing about them, and neither do I, but I know this: every idol word from your mouth will come back at you. You're pathetic and I hope you get a double whammie for posting this trash for a grieving family to read. Shame on you.

I do know them. Heath also had a grandchild, at least one. This child will never get to know their grandfather. The older kids had quite a bit of time with their dad. Hopefully they will help the younger ones to know their dad. He loved them with all his heart. We will miss him too. I am not actually family, but I felt like Heath was mine. He spent a lot of time at my house when he was younger. He just wanted to make a good life for his wife and kids! This was a pure accident, but a horrible one. Rest peacefully Heath, we will miss you and you keep an eye on us, too.

Hey Coaster,
Define careless. Are you not careless when you talk on a cell phone, text message, read, light a cigarette while driving. Are you not careless when you run a yellow/red light, run a stop sign? The good/bad all die. You can be ever so careful and still suffer a tragic accident. You've posted on every board in here where a motorcycle accident that killed someone. What are you, ten years old? We don't know how these two died, but regardless they had loved ones that will miss them. Like you, they had Mother/Father, sisters, brother, aunts/unless, Grandparents, and/or children. Can you please just lighten up and say something postive to this family? How about, "our prayers are with you", or "I'm so sorry for your loss".
I have already said I am sorry for their loss... and prayers go out to them... you are making a mountain out of a mole hill because you do not like my posts on another forum... lighen up yourself...I have stated I do not text message I do not know how to...etc... I am sure there are times I have been distracted just like you while driving...

asmith,
Yes, people do believe everything they hear (until it involves one of their own). If you read these post and check out the other post of riders recently killed, you'll see the same people posting something negative, based on what they read, or assumed. Sadly, people are that ignorant and heartless. I'm very sorry for your loss. Regardless of what happened, two people are gone and family is left to carry on without them. I don't know what else to say. You could spend weeks in here disputing this and that with them, but it'll drive you crazy. Sadly, people feed off others grieve and they get some sick satisfaction from posting awful comments knowing family will read them. That's where they get their high. I know it's hard. I'm very sorry.

You are very right about people feeding off others grieve. It's really sad they are like that.

Yes heath did have a grandchild I think around 1 years old. I also think Billy had a grandchild and a stepgrandchild on the way. Plus a bunch of little girls at home. I know Heath just had a daughter born in March 2009 and a one year old daughter also. It's sad these young ones won't have much of a memory of them if one at all. I grew up not knowing my father. He died when I was 2. I have no memory of him. So I know what these children will go through and it's sad. I wish them the best.

Can you tell me exactly where the accident was? Just curious, as a family member of mine was killed in the same area and the circumstances are very similar.

It was on the road that goes from Prue to Hominy on a curve.

Who was your family member if you don't mind me asking? I lived in Prue since 1999. I know Prue Road is very bad. It has a bad reputation for fatal accidents. You think the county would do something about this road. It's funny they actually paved parts of it. But the parts they paved are not the bad areas that have big potholes and sharp curves. But Billy and Heath was on a different road. It's off of Prue Road.

And now they are dead because of carelessness ? Why do you try to bash everyone on this post for making comments, The last I remember thats what it was here for. Sad for the young kids to grow up without their fathers, How good of parents were they if they were possibly drinking and driving? Thank God no kids were with them .

"Who was your family member if you don't mind me asking?"

My concern is that the road is fixed or heavily illuminated. They called him Buffalo, knew those roads like the back of his hand. Police report said the same, was alcohol related fatality, yet his content was minute, also went off road to the right, then left. Everyone knows the dangers of that road, but yet the fatalities continue. Need further investigation into the reason people that know the area are leaving the road as such. I don't believe it is alcohol, truly believe it is a blinding headlights issue versus angle of the road, happening at just the wrong time, and the headlights are trucks versus smaller vehicles. If not that, then what would make someone run off of a familiar road for no reason that can be determined???? Doesn't make since at all, but I, too was blinded by headlights going around the hairpin turn. First reaction was,,, that was how it happened.

how would you feel if this was a friend or family of yours and people that know nothing was posting bad stuff about this, really how would you feel, yes you are right people can post whatever they want, but where i come from there is this little thing called kama you may have heard about it, i dont know if you do judging from these stupid ideas you have, let me bring you and everyone else up to speed, these roads are very dangerous and everytime there is a wreck the county will blame it on alcohol, so they dont have to fix this roads, i have grew up on these same roads and i am lucky to be here today i have lost a lot of friends and family to these roads but everytime it was alcohol related bull**** all of them?

Illunmination isn't the answer the roadways... it only costs money... contributes to problems we have with our environment.. Riders and cars need to be cautious...people need to use good common sense...and try to travel roads that aren't so dangerous, if you think a roadway is dangerous!

What's the difference between lighting a city road or a small dangerous area of road? Someone living in that area for more than 15 years, with that experience on a particular road, just doesn't miss a turn, one that he was so familiar with. Since the road is limited by terrain, the best and probably only solution would be to illuminate the areas where there has been a high concentration of fatalities. I'm sure those areas could be counted on one hand but have taken many lives.
