I know many folks who live in Coon Rapids and Hugo. There is nothing amusing about this and I feel bad that this is their holiday weekend. Not to mention folks who are not even home.

Why would you make a joke like that? I never frequent CR but still hope that all the people that have suffered at the hands of this storm are safe and ok.

I like the assclown statement!!

My thought's and prayers are with the victims. The weather is very unpredictable and while watching TV this afternoon with all the alert's
and forecasts, I found WCCO 4 coverage is far superior to KSTP 5.
I was watching channel 5 when they said no deaths nor injuries, then I
tuned into channel 4 and they had all the information of death
and injuries plus all the sky cam footage. I think KSTP 5 must
have also tuned into WCCO 4 to more facts and updates.
WCCO 4 supplies a more reliable forecast than does KSTP 5.

Would love to know more about this remark. Obviously this person needs to be turned in again if he has actually been banned from this sight. Has s/he? And the remark about Bush was truly stupid as perhaps the person is. Now the president can control the weather and global warming?? Hardly. You may disagree with his politics but come on that is really giving the president more power than he is capable of.

What a cruel remark to make. When it happens to your town I bet you wouldn't think the same thing. Those poor families with missing members, those whose kid died and those that come home from their long weekend off to find their home totally destroyed. Our prayers are with them all. Perhaps not from you, as you are an A**, but the rest of us send our prayers and help is on the way. May the remaining missing 20 all be found at the hospital safe and sound and may the death toll not keep rising!

Several houses are damaged windows, and front doors missing...behind the school to the northwest to hwy 61 completely gone...I heard a infant was snatched up and pulled into the wind. Oneka Elementary School is housing the victims of the tornado.

When did this happen?

I was in downtown St. Paul most of the afternoon and went to Cosetta's about 4:30. Up to then it was a very nice afternoon, probably the best of the year. Then a bit later looking out the window, we could see evidence of strong winds for a very short period of time. That must have been the "window."

There are blocks of missing and destroyed houses, not just a few. Several children are in the hospital, one whose heart stopped, but medics have restarted it and the child is at the hospital. Prayers they will all recover.

If you can't see the difference in the quality of information supplied
by WCCO 4 vs KSTP 5 then you must not be paying attention. And
no, I don't work for channel 4, I just happen to notice the facts.

That was my point. The one that said Bush's fault--Owl Gore--obviously he thinks Bush can control the weather if this storm is Bush's fault!! LOL

Sorry, meant That was "THE" point, I think(?) I was identifying with KAT. At least I think that is what she meant. Could be wrong. Still think it is funny if anyone thinks Bush can control the weather much less anything else that happens!! LOL Again

Actually I was being sarcastic. The very statement about Bush was just stupid and totally off the subject!! Stick to the catastrophe itself and the people it affected.

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Scorpio

Self-worship is easy and obvious, today. The real prize is when you turn from the mirror to see that others think just as highly of you. Take in all this love and amazement, and store some away for lean times in the future. Someone may give you an unexpected compliment later in the day, but don't let them know that it caught you off guard. After all, you still have your reputation as an egomaniac to uphold!
