The bowling alley should be open at it's new location sometime in Oct. - Is what the owner of the Expo Center said.

I am a superb bowler and would be willing to take anyone's money on here. Afterwards we can go outside to the side of the building and fight. Signed, Likes to Fight Guy.

It's incredible that any post on any town's forum is eventually taken over by complete morons posting their idiotic crap!!!

To any serious readers of this thread - I went by when I was in town this weekend and WOW! What a super mall looking thing the new bowling alley is in. What's the plan for all that space?

I hope average income people can afford to take their kids there. Sounds extravagant.

Totally agree with your MORON statement. Ignorant comments run rampant when anonymity is assured here on Topix. People disappoint me at times.
I'm glad the owner of that old Globe building finally has a tennant. I understand the city gave him an ultimatum years ago when it sat empty and ugly for a dozen or so years - with the city threatening to raze the entire structure if not improved. The owner completed a great exterior renovation about two years ago. Was still unimproved inside - ready for any and all prospective tennants. Now the Strike 'n Spare (aka, Family Fun Center) has a new home with broader shoulders.
People talk, so I don't know the facts about the old location owned my Dan Holder (sp). I hear HE'S going to open his OWN bowling center there. My take on that? His intent is to spite his old tennant and compete with them.
I used to frequent Grand Stands and, with the Family Fun Center as the anchor business next door, was always a fairly full parking lot. However, drive by there now and it's all empty. Other businesses moved in but failed to succeed, so I suspect Mr. Holder is, without prospective new tennants, attempting to re-establish on his own. With all of the retail growth that's sprung up in Hendersonville the last five plus years, I feel Hendersonville has diluted the market and the older part of town will remain the casualty.
