Mrs. Obama gave an excellent, hard-hitting speech at the quad. Too bad only Obama fans heard it as it gave a full picture of who her husband is, what guides his life and what his plans are for this country. What a tragedy that our mainstream media (TV, radio and newspaper) canít, at least a couple of times through this process, provide us with an opportunity to hear, see or read a straightforward, full length presentation of whatever the candidate/or the spouse want to tell us about themselves. Instead we get 30-second sound-bites(frequently attack ads) or poorly moderated debates that focus too heavily on trivia that has nothing to do with what either candidate could do to move us out of this quagmire! At this point in our history, we do not need a political strategist who is deeply in debt to large corporations, but a leader...one with vision the ability to unite us, and the courage to fight for the voiceless...our children and the poor of all races.
North Carolinians should consider following the leads of the over 40 delegates from the JOHN EDWARDS campaign who have endorsed Sen. Obama to help the poor, the working man with his tax cuts, the military by bringing them home from a war Barack Obama opposed, and for REAL gas cutting measures, like fining the oil barrens for undue profits.

North Carolina, don't let the insiders in DC tell you what you should be voting for. You only owe allegiance to your truth. TIME FOR A BIG CHANGE IN A BIG WAY....The 20 years politicians showed us what they could do...get into an endless war, spend trillions of dollars that we need here in Indiana and N. Carolina, and let millions go without healthcare. Hillary Clinton couldn't pass healthcare when she was IN the White House because of her polarizing personality. It would be the same thing all over again.

Barack Obama is the UNITER that G. W. Bush never was and Hillary Clinton can never be.

Please don't let the old politicians turn your head away from the truth.

81 percent of the nation thinks we are on the wrong track.

So, Hillary and McCain got us where we are. Obama is the only credible candidate to make it possible to get things done and not just get us into war and debt.

Just in case you bashers don't really realize that you need help: I am just one old fashioned democrat romanticist and dreamer. Barack's speech at the 2004 DNC got my attention!//www.americanrhetor ic.com/speeches/convention2004 /barackobama2004dnc.htm
Where were you guys hiding then?
I believe his to be a vital vision that commitment to fair and positive social values will infuse truth and life into a nation at odds with itself. I see his candidacy and hopefully his election as a a much needed tonic. I am with those who will be saying out with the old politics of lingering subterfuge and other forms of self-promotion and in with selfless intelligence and hope when we go to the polls in May and November. Letís hope that Obama's sensitivity and ability to intelligently understand and analyze important issues the country faces will empower him to steer new and wise directions along the paths of our internal and external relationships. It looks to me that Barack's own life path has framed in him a desire to seek the common heart in difficult issues. While the candidates have all embraced unique paths of service to America, only he chose this life without having inherited ties to it. He has ended up the gifted and concerned leader he is "the old fashioned way" having "earned it" through a rigorous association with the real problems and opportunities that Americans face everyday. He has walked race issues in a unique way. I am a 57 year old white male born and raised in a middle sized town in eastern North Carolina. The original immigrant whose surname I carry crossed into Maryland in 1636 having been born in Nottinghamshire England in 1608. My ancestor who made his way to the piedmont of North Carolina in around 1780 fought in the Revolutionary War. Others of my ancestors were prominent in business and civic endeavors in eastern North Carolina. At least one of these folks owned a number of slaves and is noted as a founder of the county I grew up in. I am definitively obliged to admit that a good measure of my own well being and that of my cousins and close neighbors was and is at odds with the poor state of affairs lived out by our neighbors there who happened to be of African descent. Even in 2008 the customs of our former slave state are still being inherited on both sides of the tracks that divided my town into distinct cultures and opportunities when I was growing up back in the 1950ís. It is time for all of us to reach out for a new and better understanding of how the inequalities of race can be delivered out of the dark ages of this old divided America and into the hopeful light of one new America. Barack Obama is the candidate who exhibits the most candor, concern and clear thinking in addressing all of the issues we face as a nation. He is the only candidate who has even stated as a goal the thought of bridging the great cultural, social, and economic impasses that our country is held hostage to by the selfish pursuits of the self first generation that we have all somehow become. His operating principles are indeed very different from those of either of his opponents. In hearing Barack's voice, the intangibles of spirit and a tangible service ethic that were passed on to me by my own parents and grandparents have stood themselves up and commanded that I take notice and participate. The appreciation of honor and dignity in service to others that I gained in close associations with the descendants of slaves who also lived their lives in my hometown are also brought to the forefront. On May 6 in North Carolina and all over America next November 4 Americans have a chance to give a nod to our odd past and a much better future by voting for Barack Obama for president. Please consider joining the American revolution of 2008 by deciding the time for real change is indeed at hand.

Thanks for listening.

Enlisting in the military is one way to serve America. Another is the kind of community-based action which Obama chose over a high-dollar legal career. Wonder if Mr. Sad Day went to see Michelle Obama or if he was too afraid to go?:-)
Michele Obama speech was touching. She and her husband is a team. Her strong support for her husband indicates that she stands behind her man. The recurring message for change is what the U.S needs now.

Obama 'HATES' Whites

A quotation from his book

'From Dreams Of My Father'

Quote:

"I found solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race."

These are the very words of Senator Obama.

Clinton's first official act as president was the " don't ask, don't tell" policy for the gays in the military.

What would Obama's be?

Let the reparations begin?

What SUCCESSFUL Congressional legislation has NObama introduced, or even voted for? His absences in Congress outweigh his presence. Like John Edterds, NObama set forth running for Presidunce the minute he got to Washington. NO RECORD at ALL!!!
