Amazing what most of us seem not to know a thing about it. Some things I have now learned and passed onto my teenage kids:One of the main reasons small, rural, Community hospitals exist is for wellness programs, preventive medicine, and healthy lifestyle education for the community members and population owning the hospital. If anyone disagrees with this, then let them say so publicly and by their own name, board members, CEO, or whomever.
This message is for mature intelligent adults, teens, and the leaders and educators among you. Do you recall 3-4 years ago when some of the employees got together and sent anonymous letters to the board members, the doctors and their wives, and the administration of PVH?
Letters about favoritism and sleazy behavior and nude male calendars on the wall in billing and the two male directors who were always loitering around acting and talking inappropriately; Tom will know exactly what we are saying. It was around the time the angry wife sent her letter to a few hundred people in Point.
None of that is the point, here, except for time reference because at about the same time, some of the nurses sent all of the hospital brass some letters and information and stats and web sites about STDs. Especially about HPV. We requested that the hospital get involved in a huge way in education and prevention in our schools, and the entire community.
We will give you a lot of information in the coming weeks. We will give you horrible, unbelievable statistics. We will give you web sites and information resources on the internet and otherwise; all endorsed by the Centers For Disease Control, The American Cancer Society, and The American Medical Association. HPV is incurable, and has been linked directly and positively in just very recent years to many, many forms of cancer besides the vast majority of cervical cancer in women, which has been known for several years.
HERE IS THE HUGE QUESTION!!! Why would Tom, our Board, and our Physicians; why did they not take this request and jump on it and run with it? They still haven't!
We have our own theory. What is your's?
There is no cure for HPV , Just like there is no cure for HIV/AIDS
Both are MUTATING viruses
If you have ANY incurable STD ,it makes you more vulnerable and less immune to any other STD, including HIV
Condoms offer almost NO protection from HPV
ALL medical articles from any reliable source since 2010, emphasize the epidemic nature of the links between HPV and many forms of cancer, in addition to the one already known, cervical cancer in women. Because of the increase in the acceptance of the practice of oral and anal sex, the increases in all types of oral and congenital and colorectal cancers has been positively linked to HPV being one of the primary causes for the dramatic increase in such cancers in the past 20 years.
If you love your children and grandchildren, or just even care a out the health of anyone and everyone, read the articles. This is not a hoax or morbid humor or getting the rumors going romantic that kind of junk you usually find on here. This is very serious and legit. You need to know.

HPV is much more common than AIDS, and probably deadlier when you add in the deaths from cervical cancer in women. ANY bodily fluids can transmit it, you don't even have to have penetration sex, per se.
