Was a good ball game. Point played well but the mistakes hurt them in the end. A blocked punt, missed extra point, and fumble late was the difference. People will say that "Pass Interference" on Brookes last touchdown drive cost Point the game. Sure it was a bad call but if Point would have executed earlier in the game that play should not have even mattered. Brooke is a good team despite their 1-5 record. They have played good teams and did what they had to to stay in the game. A loss may be what this young team needs right now. This game is over, now move on to next week. All they can do.

Fan of the Past, you do realize that Point is 2-1 against Triple A teams this year? I am sure this morning the kids that are actually on the team and play for Point is upset and frustrated with what happened last night. At all levels of football each week is a test no matter who you are playing or what their record is. College football is having a crazy year already with upsets. It happens. Part of the game. I can remember back in 2002, i think, when even Wahama went 10-0 in regular season only to lose in first round of playoffs. Let the kids be kids and enjoy themselves.

Can't wait to watch them play Cabell Midland University I think University beat Brooke 45 0 and also I love how Point fans bitching about. Bad ref cost them the game. I believe I'd start looking at maybe the defense? Where were they at? ESP secondary wow terrible. Believe ill go to Mason and watch a team that has a chance this year

What 3 AAA schools have they played from WV? Brooke hadn't won a game until last night. Brooke has gotten destroyed more than once, and yet Point couldn't beat them? Point better make sure they stick to AA where they can dominate, because in AAA, they'll get dominated. The only AAA schools that Point plays from WV are the bottom portion of the list. If they can't beat Brooke, Point will remain on the bottom portion for the next few years.

You do that Wahama fanboy!

BTW ... I can't wait to see Williamstown or Wheeling Central. Oh wait, I have seen that before and it's always the same result ... having your ass handed to you ... lol.

... and it's not like they out number your enrollment by 1,000+ students like the schools you listed ... lmao!

I will address these stupid comments one at a time. The three AAA schools are Lewis County, Winfield, and Brooke. Brooke was "destroyed" by some very good football teams. University, Parkersburg, Wheeling Park, Steubenville OH, and St. Clairsville OH. Point would love to "stick to AA", but the SSAC moved them up this year and it will stay that way for four years. Yes, we will have problems with the bigger schools because of sheer numbers. We will do better against the smaller AAA schools because we are the smallest AAA school in the state.

University High is in Morgantown. Cabell Midland High School is in Cabell County. There is no high school named Cabell Midland University.

Who cares ... we don't have 1800+ students to compete dumbass!

Point should schedule teams like St. Albans, Nitro, Winfield, Oak Hill, Ripley, Logan, Lewis County, Shady Springs, Elkins, etc.

They have no business playing schools that are clearly AAAA schools even if the WVSSAC is to lazy to divide the schools up into 4 divisions to equal the playing field.

I think Point done well against a school with an enrollment of 1100+. Just proves that the games are more competitve when schools of similar size play against each other.

I agree with Point's scheduling. They need to play teams with similar enrollment. Why would they schedule Cabell Midland, Huntington, or Spring Valley? Coach knows what he needs to do to keep building a program. Fact is Point missed the AA cut by only 5 students.

Point had 2 key offensive injuries last night with Walton and Campbell. Both are explosive and offense just does not seem the same with them not in the game. Point had their chances but could not pull it out.

As for Wahama, they play teams that they can compete against and not bad distances to travel. I don't blame Cromley for that. Maybe one day we'll see Wahama schedule Wheeling Central, Williamstown, Bishop Donahue, teams like that.

I don't think Point nor Wahama has won a state title.

Aww I struck a nerve with the die hard big black fans. Truth hurts. No matter if you're a huge AAA school or a small AAA school, still play the same people in the end. If you milk a schedule to look better, that's just sad. If you beat the worst AAA schools, you talk like you can't be beat. When in actuality, your school is just mediocre, and has been all along, just playing worse teams than themselves. Sucks when the truth smacks you in the face don't it? Lol
The schools that y'all are mentioning, aren't even worth it. AA schools could beat them. But at least I know what excuses I'll hear now when they get stomped. "We don't have the population"

I guess playing Miller, Waterford, Eastern, and Southern isn't "milking the schedule"? It's the same for Wahama as Point, when they get to the playoffs they can't beat the big boys.

Well at least Wahama will make it to the playoffs lol. But this topic isn't about Wahama, it's about Point. Point is now in a different bracket than the other two schools, so there is no more comparing unless Point goes back to AA, like they need to be. If they'd stop all the transfers, they'd still be AA. I believe with the transfers and kids that have quit already, Point is back under that limit, or right at it.
Either way, last nights game has proven that Point was never as good as people here thought they were. Some people just handle it better than others. They're a good team, with good speed. With better play selections and work on the secondary, they could be much better. They need to work on those things if they expect to hang with the bigger schools. Coaches need to expand their options, they're not playing middle school like teams anymore.

Just have point and Wahama play each other and get it over with so people will be quiet. Might as well since point is so doomed in AAA
