Today I was at the newest park in Henderson I believe its called Fair Park and there was a lady unloading her car with her kids and the "Park patrol" came by and told her she needed to put her cigg out so she did he sat there in his truck watching her until her and her kids walked out of sight My thought is this who cleans the park because while he was harassing her there was trash all over the park and sidewalks get out of your truck and clean the park. Thanks for listening to my rant.:)

It is a health hazard and I wouldn't want my children around it. We have the right to breath fresh air and not worry about second hand smoke.

You don't own the air. Maybe I don't want to hear your squalling kids. That's noise pollution.

Seriously? Being outside and oh say, fifteen feet away, it's
doubtful that you would suffer the effects of second hand smoke.

Yes, even outside! Some people are sensitive to cigarette smoke. Kids with asthma can have an asthma attack with just a little exposure! Until you see a child have an attack, you don't know how scary that can be! It's a park for crying out loud! That's where children go to play, go home and smoke if you must!

Oh it's always for the kids isn't it? Why don't you go home.....and take bubble boy with you.

If you wanna smoke then keep that stinking shit at home. Your right to smoke ends where my right to breathe begins.

I have a vapor cigarette and still people complain and do the fake coughing until they find out it is water vapor.
And yes the trash is bad there. The spray park is dangerous because of not having proper footing.(kids are falling and knocking their heads and they are not running ..... just walking.)

Guess what yeah really, smoking was mentioned in the first post and I think that's just as important as the thrash. We do have people who would rather throw their trash on the ground than walk 2 feet to a trash can and throw it away. Have you ever noticed that smokers usually throw their nasty cigarette butts on the ground? Trashy!
By the way, my children are grown and they have never lived in a bubble. Grow up!

Well then! I've a suggestion for you. Keep your breathin' self at home.....along with your snotty nosed, sneezing, coughing, whining, screaming "babies". I don't like being exposed to every virus and flu bug every time I go to the store. But, since that won't work for ya, let's just outlaw smoking in the city limits, along with outlawing being sick in public, drugs, drinking, thieving and all of the rest of the "nasty crap" like nasty disease spreading idiots thast won't stay home. Yep, that's what we need, more laws making everything you don't like illegal.

Oh, almost forgot, I don't like smelling raw sewage at Fair Park but fixing that would cost the city even more money so let's just outlaw Fair Park. Where's Bloomberg?

Look here you idiot. Smoking is nothing but a choice. You dont have to smoke in public, you can keep that nasty smelling crap at home or in your car. Being sick isn't a choice. So stop sounding stupid. But you probably can't. And one of the other posters is right. How damn hard is it to throw your cigarette butts away. Smoking is a nasty, expensive, deplorable, useless, and completely unnecessary habit. Oh, and I don't have kids, I go to the park to enjoy a place to exercise. But if or when I do decide to have kids, then you can be damn sure I'll be keeping the nasty ass smokers away from them.
