I will be voting No! I will also help assure that all the people that are still voting NO get their Vote No yard signs as well! Glad we saved them all from just a short time ago! People at HISD need to get some since, and realize that this issue still is not going to sit well with the community. As long as we still have empty building, and all the extra spending on other items they decided to buy it will remain NO.

It is obvious that you are not concerned with education. The building hinders the ability to have the technology required to have Henderson students use technology in the way other students are able to in other districts. These students are therefore Henderson students are at a disadvantage. Also, safety is an issue at the middle school. When it rains the students get soaked when walking to some of the buildings. How could you not want something better?

Oh, cry me a river! We all got wet when we went to high school years ago on Richardson Dr. and it didn't hinder us a bit and we never had the awnings that are there now....between all the buildings. Ever heard of an umbrella??? The money that was WASTED on the Dicky Dome should have been spent on necessary things....like technology and upgrading the middle school and its "safety" issues....not something for football. What a joke!

Technology will not work in the building. So we just keep punishing our students and get behind in education and let other districts succeed and move ahead because we can't get over the dickey dome. You're ignorant and selfish

If HISD was smart they would stop trying to push this bond ever 12-18 months and allow the bad taste to get out of voters mouths. Being the issue up 3-4 years from now... Time heals a lot but at this point they keep pushing and the tax payer keeps getting even more aggravated with them. If your reading this HISD then you would be wise to take the issue off the table and realize you have heavy resistants coming if you don't!

Some people never change. The voters of HISD can save a lot of money by passing this bond. Intrest is at a all time low. Pass the bond or your taxes will go up even higher in the future. A lot of people in this district complain about everthing that cost a buck. But you can bet they will pay 6 dollars for a BIG MAC and never look back. When it comes to the education of all children of HISD they should come first. What is 5 dollars when it come down to the children of this district. I'm sick of all the whining about an empty school. The school mention will one day become the HISD admin. Building. So go out and support the children of this great school district. Vote YES

You people can come up with every excuse possible to spend some more tax dollars.

1. It's for the kids
2. Needs it for technology
3. Security
4. Building old

I suppose we can claim it next as a stimulus package to create more jobs and see if the tax payers will buy into that one... Worked for Obama! Again as most cases in the world today SPENDING is the problem! It maybe $5 dollars now. Then two years from now they will want another bond for a new Northside, and then Astro turf... It goes on and on where does it stop?

I can only assume you don't have children. Because any parent who has children they care about would want the safest and best facility for them to learn in. As for it stopping. It will stop when they are able to invent indestructible buildings and facilities that never wear with time. It's a fact of life that things wear out and become unsafe. When they do, it's time to build newer and safer ones.

I travel ALOT. Many occasions in Europe, Italy, Spain, France... Did you know that instead of tearing down a building every hundred years or less that they actually have buildings that last far longer then Americans. Most anywhere from 200-400 years old that still serve a purpose today. Again, we always want new because its become a culture of who has the newest and prettiest... Keeping up with the jones as they say. As usual the few in Henderson that have money have no desire to invest in Henderson out of their own pocket for their own kids, and they would rather the tax payer make the payments for their gain. Lets invest in more educators so that the ratio of teacher to students is lower providing a better education. The building won't make the kids more educated, but more teachers sure could. We pay for kids to get an education, and not for them to have access to wifi to be able to play their games on their phones in class... Technology as you like to call it!

Perfectly said and I agree with just about every point you made.....except hiring MORE "educators".

Repairand maintain!! If a proper maintence department had been in place all along this building would not be in the shape that it is. There has NEVER been a PROPER maintence department, just a bunch of redneck dumbasses that were there to collect a check. If the roof is bad, repace it, if the wall is cracked repair it. You do not throw away a building just because it is old. If security due to all of the exits are a concern, close in all of the connecting breezeways so that NO student has to go outside for any reason. For every reason you have to replace, I can think of a less expensive way to repair properly.
I would much rather spend 6.00 for a Big Mac than pay it in taxes. I can eat the Big Mac, but not a building. 6.00 would just take another of the few meals that I get, away from me. I am already taxed to death.

I wonder how many taxpayers actually go out to the schools. I guarantee that most do not therefore they do not know the conditions of our school. You rather have alcohol to fulfill your pleasures then building new and better schools for our kids. Go and visit the middle school and see for yourself. Oh by the way cursing really show your intelligence.
