What has happened to Wal-Mart? During the day em-ployees are stumbling over each other, but at night there is nobody. Not enough cashiers, not enough sales people on the floor. If you can't find something, you might as well go on home and wait til the morning because you can't find anybody to help you. Of course, in the morning, the people who are supposed to be on the floor are talking breaks (I guess, since you know they should be there but you can't find them). The cashiers are complaining because it's time for their break and nobody has relieved them (in front of the customer they are ringing up) or they are talking to each other about their husbands or boyfriends or they are speaking Spanish to each other (rude). Where, oh where, is the Wal-Mart that Sam Walton founded? He must be turning over in his grave!!! I have shopped Wal-Mart since the day it opened, but I'm about ready to go elsewhere.

When you figure out where "elsewhere" is to shop, short of going out of town, will you please let me know?

Here's the truth of the matter. Walmart SUCKS 100%! That store's about the only game in town, Walmart "corporate" KNOWS it and they DON'T CARE, and it gets worse by the day BECAUSE IT CAN!!! Walmart has "sewed up" the market in this town and their Big Boys in the corporate office are laughing all the way to the bank.

Yes, it shows in their employees daily. Does Walmart care? NOPE! They can always find more people to take their place. It's called Supply and Demand.

Walmart's "supply"? Well, their "truck is coming on Thursday"!!! Isn't that always the answer everyone gets? What a joke.

Sam Walton is spinning in his grave and he's been doing so since he left the helm at the top years ago!!!

Here's my advice and it works! If the lines are too long and there aren't enough checkers, call for the Manager or whoever is next on the ladder and DEMAND that some check stands open up.

Last time I raised hell with that store (and I've done it several times) the "person in charge" couldn't get me checked out fast enough! The last thing he/she wants is an irate customer while others are standing around.....waiting to hand over their money to Walmart. They do NOT want to miss out on a sale.

Walmart......where you get the worst for the most.

Henderson's Wal-mart is awful. Only go there in real emergency. We go to Kilgore(better but starting to get like Henderson) or Tyler(the one on the Troup hwy). Heard that the place to find just about anything food wise that is, is Brookshires in Kilgore but haven't tried it yet. Sometimes I wish Wal-mart never existed. The grocery stores we had here were all good and they competed with one another with good sales. Wal-Mart under cuts everyone. Heard they are trying to run Amazon out of business now by selling new release books at really low prices.

Yes and now they will be selling caskets at lower prices than funeral homes, was on Channel 7 last night. They made a deal with Costco and will sell them online. I wish we would get a target or some other place just for the competition.

As far as I know there is only one way to put a stop to Wal-Mart and their employees behavior, don't shop there. I have found that a lot of Kroger's everyday prices are lower, and taking advantage of their specials are also better prices. It is the customers and their money that keeps Wal-Mart in business and allows them to drive the smaller stores out of business. I agree with critter on the cashier issue. They talk to each other and not the customer and by the time you are checked out you know more of their personal business then you care to. Their gas is not much cheaper then other places in town. So take your business and money elswhere. Without customers Wal-Mart cannot exist.
Do customers really need this one store to survive? Wal-Mart has driven so many smaller stores out of business, in a lot of towns across the country but, at the end of the day it's because customers spend their money there and keep them going. Without customers no store can can survive for long so if you are really disatisified
with them go elsewhere and force them to listen.
I no longer shop there and would rather go somewhere else. We all have the same choice and have to make a decision on what is right for us.

You are so right. Unfortunately, Wal-mart has people brain washed into thinking they have the lowest prices. If you watch ads and use coupons(which the other stores will double and triple) you can get good prices. It's a shame that so many of the mom & pop stores went out of business because of wal-mart. Used to be able to find almost anything at a good five and dime store, like M.E. Moses. I think this country would be alot better off without Wal-Mart.

We would be Much better off!
We used to have a good Hardware store, several good health food stores[try and get an answer at Wal-Mart] then they expanded to groceries,Optometry, and now Caskits!?!
Where does it end?
Ill go anywhere and pay double to avoid them and Try to keep the money local.
If I have to go to a Wally...Nac is better.
Their goal is to get rid of local business and compitition... because it works.

I recently heard that this Wal-Mart (not sure about all of them) is trying to get rid of all the employees who have been there a long time (thus making the top hourly wage). They want to replace them with part-timers who will remain at a little over minimum wage and not have any benefits. Folks, this is the monster we have created by shopping Wal-Mart! I am the most guilty of all because I really like shopping Wal-Mart and hometown. I can't support this any longer so I will have to train myself to shop elsewhere. Of course, since Wally World came to town there is no place else to buy linens, cost effective electronics, housewares, toys, etc. This is really going to take discipline on my part.

This is not knew for them.
Theyve done it for years. They keep most people at 20 to 30 hours... so no benefits,no overtime etc.
You are right,we should buy everything we can somewhere else.
where ever they open all other small stores have no chance.
If we dont change our buying habits it will only get worse.
They will be the only store left standing.

I remember when Allan Jackson came out with "The Little Man" about small businesses trying to compete and people driving right past them just so they could save a nickel or dime at the mega-mart. Ironically, Jackson has Wal-Mart to thank for probably much of his CD sales. No more mom-and-pop record stores around. Not sure many would be left today even without Wal-mart now that everything is downloadable.

I hate Wal-Mart. I would rather take an absolute beating than to have to go out there. But since Henderson doesnt have anywhere else to go, I'm forced to go there. Plus its nasty...never clean..you can never find anything. Uggghhhh don't even get me started. Why oh why won't the leaders of this town let Henderson grow a little and let us catch up with the times and get some decent stores, places to eat, etc! Ok I'm getting worked up. Let's go on to the next post.

You're forced to go there? Henderson's leaders need to get us more places to eat? Maybe your helpless fatass simply can't be pleased or satiated.

This is one of the worst Wal-Marts around! They have stopped carrying lots of items or replaced them with their Great Value brand. You can go to any other Wal-Mart and find much more than we have. It used to be better but when they put that woman as store manager- it went to pot!! It'll take years to catch back up- IF it EVER does.

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Leo

If there have been slight tensions or frictions between you and a loved one recently, this is the perfect day to get them out into the open, thrash them out and then forget about them. Things could get quite heated in the process but don't worry because they'll work out all right in the end. Put as much energy into kissing and making up as you did in arguing!
