Do not use this company for anything, not even to replace a door knob. We are having to have a new roof put on our house because they did not do ANY of the work correctly. NONE of the roof is right! The contractor we hired said he is wondering why we did not have leaks everywhere. They claim to be good christian folk but they are all convicts looking for a quick buck.~TRUTH~

You can't trust people any more. I have a friend who paid for a pool and deck last May and it's still not done.

This is a prime example of not getting feedback from others who have used the same (or any other) company. If a company is proud of their work, they won't MIND if you ask others about them and their work. Thanks for the heads-up. Pays to be EXTRA careful when you hire someone you've never done business with before.

Marion Construction did me the same way. He is no longer in business unless he changed his business name. Sounds like the same bunch I dealt with. I took it to KLTV's Channel 7 On Your Side.

A word to the wise when you get someone to do some "work" for you.......NEVER, NEVER, NEVER pay them up front before ANY work begins and NEVER give them some "front" money to get started with either. Those kind will burn you every time.

If they don't have their OWN money to get started on a job, they don't need to be in business!!!

I get a list items they need to do the job with, shop the prices, THEN I deal with the contractor or whatever AFTER I know what the total cost + materials will be. Some workers will rip you off in a heartbeat, lie about the actual costs of everything, and never bat an eye. And laugh all the way to the bank.

Best thing you can do to people like this (short of beating the crap outta them!!!) is turn them into the Better Business Bureau and make sure your friends and family and co-workers know what they're capable of so THEY don't get ripped off. "Word of mouth" works wonders in most cases!!!

Wow, you guys are having the same problems that some friends of mine had. There are two local companies that I use to do all of my work. Both companies do a great job, and have never given me any problems.

Runquist Construction in Mt. Enterprise: They put on a new roof for me last year before IKE, and I only lost the corner of one shingle during the hurricane.(and I'm on the very top of a hill) ALL of my neighbors lost their rooves, and ended up using them after they saw how my roof survived the hurricane. They also remodelled a room, and put in some new windows for me. I recommend them highly.

Buzbee Construction in Mt. Enterprise: This man did some sheetrock work for me, and did an excellent job. He also did some remodelling, roofing, and painting for several friends of mine. All have told me that they were very pleased with the work.

Both companies are in the phone book I think. Hope this helps.

One of the MOST important things I left out in my other post.......

When (and if) you decide on someone doing some work for you, be sure and get a WRITTEN and SIGNED estimate from them!!! Too many people actually still go by the old handshake agreement and it just doesn't work these days.....no matter HOW NICE or HONEST the contractor/builder/painter/etc . seems to be!

Too many people have found out (much too late) that there are "hidden" costs in a job that dishonest people live for and make extra money on.

It's really sad that those handshake deals have gone by the wayside (thanks to liars and thieves in the business industry) because there really ARE some honest people out there who are willing to do a great job and will stand by their word AND their workmanship and skills. Those people are few and far between these days!!!

Another perfect example of slander. I am not dating, entertaining the notion of, ever been married to, ever had a run in or a confrontation with this man. I think that getting on a public forum and ridiculing and slandering a person is wrong. I heard that if people had paid the man when he did work on their projects that this would not have happened. I am in business in Henderson too, in a totally different kind of work. For some, we have open credit. You cannot imagine how people will ride you and ride you without paying their debts. Its so nice to see them eating out and entertaining themselves at the movies. I have known this person for years and I would gladly give him open credit at my store, and actually have. He makes good every time. So there.

Don't use Lino's Drywall either. He also does some remodeling and leaves things very shabby. I had to quit working with him as a hired hand because he was doing his contract jobs half a$$ and then he doesn't even report all his earnings. Which is wrong!

I live in NYC and I work for Expert Remodeling in NYC.
They are not affiliated with Expert Remodeling in Texas.
They always finished the projects that I was working on and the customers were allway very happy. Most delays and frustration happen around here because of delays from the building management which can take forever to approve things, but once things are approved things are being done very professional, otherwise I wouldn't work for this great company. Thx Expert Remodeling from New York City!
