Why is Henderson so proud its property? We dont have anything special! Why do the agents here never give a rats ass about getting back with people?

same goes for business rentals. owners think their buildings are lined with gold. most are run down rat holes. if this were a college town I might could see their high rents. the decent ones are waaayyy out there on rent. they would rather let it set vacant for a few months than lower rent a few $$ to keep it occupied. i've seen same or better quality buildings and houses a lot cheaper in Tyler and Longview. like you said... Nothing to be "proud of" or "special".

Ya I asked 2 different agents to take my daughter and i to look at some houses and got shoved to the side by both. One was to important to even call me back, instead her assistant called and told me step one was listing our house. We ended up getting with an agent from Longview that showed us several houses. Long story short we found the right house, signed a contingency and listed our house with her. Ours sold in 45 days and we moved right in the new one.

Their favorite people to deal with are young first time buyers. They know just how to play them cause they are new to the game. These henderson real estate gals have no shame. They will chew u up and spit you out with the nicest smile. Most find out how wrong they were done when they go to sell. Before FHA put some new regulations on their loans it was a free for all on first timers. Inflated appraisals around here made these greedy agents a few extra 100 bills on there commission. Some appraisers were just as bad, taking kick backs from agents and loan officers. All at the cost of young people that didn't know better and put their trust in these nice ladies. Greed!

Must be talking about misty c, she's the only one here with an assistant. I'm not surprised they tried to get u to list your house before they would show u a house. That's how she is. And her helper. Be glad you found a good agent from Longview that took care of you and know there laziness cost them a few bucks.

Too high my ass!!! Just look around at other towns at prices, if my house were in another place, I could get 30 to 50 thousand more for it. I am stuck here because the prices in this shit hole are way too low.

I cannot speak for why the agents never get back with ya but the prices of real estate are set by a novel concept often referred to as "supply and demand" If prices are actually too high then property will not sell. In some cases the owner might not be in a big hurry to sell and therefore is able to ask for a higher price than normal. Detroit Michigan has a huge supply of real estate but the demand is very minimal so that leads to very cheap real estate prices. Really its a pretty simple concept

Thanks sterling, you're a real know it all aren't you. You are arrogant on all your post. "novel concept often referred to as "supply and demand"". Just because u break it down to us in a doosh bag style of posting doesnt mean ur right. So now that we know supply and demand is the reason for the over pricing in this town we can sit back and feel good about over paying if u want a house in Henderson? Pretty simple concept huh? Thanks for sharing a lil bit of your wisdom with us. But people who really know the housing market, and know what goes on in this town with these sneeky agents know that it's not supply and demand.
