I still say and always will that the maintence department needs to be replaced first with people who know how to maintain something. If proper maintence had been done all along on the building, It would not be in the condition that it is.

I think we have had dozens of maintenance crews over the last 65 years and blaming the one we have now for crews that dropped the ball for the last 40 years is not solving anything. The building they are "maintaining" now is held together with bailing wire and duct tape as it is. If they can keep it from falling down on a kid until it is replaced I for one will be impressed. Not saying they are a good maintenance crew or a bad one just saying the people in place today are not to blame for the building being rotten and broken.

I'm sure being 60 years old has nothing to do with it.

You mean to tell me we actually had 5 people vote for an indoor dumbass? All this time I thought those things were extinct.

No, the age doesn't have anything to do with it, it is all improper maintence.

Actually is a the building design that is the biggest problem. Too many apartments entrances and no way to secure who is on campus.

Do you want a school or a prison?

Somehow "separate" turned into "apartments". Sorry for the confusion. No prison. It is not to keep kids in, it is to screen who can go in. Right now anyone could walk in off the street to any part of that building. God forbid we have a maniac on the loose with a gun, but the current set up would make it ver easy for him.

If a maniac or a fire was at the school I think the more exits the better.

A maniac wid a machete or a maniac wid a cross bow or a maniac wid a claw hammer would be just as bad...or worse. Why is it always a gun wid you idiots? Security ain't got squat to do wid a gun, it has to do wid the maniacs access to an open campus.

So, when you get the middle school replaced do we gotta build another new high school? That dump ain't secure either....unless you're a law abidin' type person that would stop at the "gate" and request permission to enter. Same wid your Wylie campus. Anybody could just drive up, bail out and walk in. If you want a secure campus you'll have to put a 10' chain link wid razor wire on top all the way around said campus and an armed gate guard that would actually shoot mentioned maniac before he got his old butt shot.

Now I ain't sayin' the middle school don't need replacing but I am wondering why you sheep can't see the real problem, stay your whiney hiney at home wid your heathens, accept some personal responsibility for their actions and teach them right from wrong. Dr. Spock and Dr. Suess got you three generations of very confused idiots out there, huh.

Every small school in the county seems to manage quite well with all of their many enterances. Tatum, Overton, Carlisle, West Rusk, Laneville. Most of their buildings are very old. Please explain to me how they can manage to do it but we can't.

And Chamberlain was build in 1959. It stands emtpy. The lights are on in the building at night or they used to be. Any way makes me sick to see school not being used.

Every building could be connected with enclosed walkways, and this would solve this so called "problem" for much less money.

Area schools have better school boards, they spend their money wisely and don't harp on getting ANOTHER school bond unless it's ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY, and they make it all work correctly.....the way it should be done.
