Like I said not on board, don't work for school, and dont even have a child that will personally benefit from this bond. I am just an informed taxpayer that wants the people in this town to think ahead instead of waiting for things to fall down before they notice they are decrepit.
Also, your child probably did go to a school that is over a hundred years old..... the rest of the story is that the state in which it is in probably dumps millions of dollars a year into keeping the "historic" buildings up. The campus is probably a beautiful place to be and I am sure for your 30,000 bucks a year you send there none of it goes to keeping those 100 year old buildings in good shape?
Go take a tour of our beautiful , "historic" middle school..........not the same.... not the same at all. The wrecking ball is the best thing for that dump...... like a dog with rabies..... put it down. It was a good dog, but now just put it down.

Dear proud parent,
I just finished reading your last 5 responses to this topic. Your children must be very proud of you, as well as respectful and well mannered, courteous and compassionate.......assuming they don't live with you or use you as a role model. Coming on here and slinging snot and calling names ain't looking too good for your side. Aside from ROBOTS vocabulary, I think he presents his opinion much more like an adult than you.
My child is very proud of me, and yes my child is very respectful, courteous, and compassionate. Also, my child lives with me and my spouse believe it or not. Robot was using vulgar language and started this forum by slinging snot at people who want this for our community. I simply responded to an idiot on a slightly lower level of dignity than I operate on in my regular life. Lastly, If adult presentation in conversation is what you are looking for in your internet conversations, and you come on here expecting that.... then you my friend are the stupidest person in this forum. Have a wonderful evening, unlike some people I must go t work tomorrow morning.

Let's all follow what the entire country believes should be the curriculum of the students of the United States. I say, if they want the same product, why have different names on each learning institution? What was this country founded on? Does anyone even remember? Other than the fact that this new curriculum has horse sh*t embedded in the words of its instruction; it is the educational factory that will in 12 years produce an extremely lost young adult that has no direction or dreams of further success.“Americans continue to rapidly homogenize ourselves into a neutered oblivion. For a country founded on the protection of the unique, we relish our sameness.” - LEWIS BLACK

Proud parent this is one of robots posts from the CSCOPE forum. I don't know who robots is or care about his choice words, but he does seem quite smarter than the average proud parent LOL. His words as shocking as they may be do get peoples attention. This guy is genius! I'd like to shake your hand robot.

When y'all get JJ off the board I'll start listening. A whole lot of us didn't get to vote against him because of where the "lines" are drawn but there's your lasting legacy.

P.S. for proud parent: Yes, I may well be the stupidest person in this forum but a little common courtesy on your part would be refreshing. However, since you historically "simply responded to an idiot on a slightly lower level of dignity than I operate on in my regular life" I'm guessing you have at least two lives. One being on this forum and at least one you think is "regular". So in this "regular" life of yours is it safe to assume you're not nearly so brazen and harsh? O.K., your turn to spew more venom.

LOL, no more venom. I am just sick and tired of people coming on here and using the practice facility,( which I think was a stupid investment ), to disregard the fact that we ( Henderson and the students and faculty of Henderson ) desperately need a new middle school. The estimates I have seen show that we can half-ass update it for 12 to 14 million and get another 15 years out of it or demolish it and replace it with a 50 year facility for 26 million. Either way we have to pass a bond to do so. 1 cup of coffee a week or two is the difference in what it will cost most taxpayers. The math is simple, the better investment for use of taxpayer money would be to replace it. No ifs ands or buts about it. All I am asking is for people to not be a ROBOT against this much needed upgrade to our local education facilities. Don't listen to me or anyone else..... go and see for yourself and make a decision based on what you learn.
As for JJ, I dont know what you can say negative about him? He works his rear off for every volunteer project he does.( Remember the school board is a non paying position ). He loves to help kids and from what I remember he ran as a county wide candidate, so anyone who is in the district can vote for or against him? Maybe there is a board member with the same initials but the JJ I know is a good man and tries to make decisions based on logic as far as I can see?

The board has 3 people on it that voted for the "Dickey Dome" and 4 that were not even on the board at the time...... I know that 2 of the ones that voted for it learned from their mistake and I cannot speak for the other one. I think we have a good board over all and we need to put some trust in them and hold their feet to the fire with this new bond an make sure it is explained and detailed so that we can make sure it is built like it is sold. I think they will not disappoint us this time. Have a nice day!

Robot started this forum with the words vote F#@k no! I don't ever think that someone who has to use the most severe of vulgarities is a smart person. I also would be ashamed he or she is on my side of an argument. I agree ,though, with the comment above that our education curriculum is severely flawed. It is time for our curriculum to be revamped and in my opinion turned over to each state to allow them to decide regionally what the students of said state should be learning. Someone in Washington has no idea what someone in East Texas needs to learn to make a future for themselves. If we leave it up to them our kids will be learning that we should all bow down to our KING OBAMA and never be too successful because it is not fair to all of the lazy people. I have said it before and I will say it again... I am very leery of what my federal tax dollars are spent on, but when I can spend a few bucks a month and see something done in my local community with those dollars that directly affects the children that are in my community I don't mind skipping a cup of coffee or two a week for that. What we need to focus on is keeping our tax dollars in Texas and keep them out of the control of the idiots in Washington. Have a nice day!

JB, HS ,Jean and maybe JJ ..... cant remember if it was voted on before his election or not? I am pretty sure the others were not on until after the vote. It was approved months before construction began. If I am wrong then I apologize.
I guess the reason we have done foolish things like that in the past was the boards fault, but in my opinion the foolish thing now would to continue to ignore the fact that we need a new middle school. The board has to answer for stupid suggestions because they are public figures.... people like you can throw out bad suggestions like "vote down a new school !" and have no repercussions whatsoever. If JJ voted for the facility I am sure he learned a valuable lesson and would not do something like that again.

LOL, I get carried away sometimes, and my sarcasm and disbelief of ignorant and uninformed people get the best of me. Unfortunately people don't have to be educated or informed to have a voter registration card.( Proof ....... our current president ) Again,......have a wonderful day.

forgot about cw. Mistake not a mislead I assure you. I guarantee you they learned from their mistake, and I will bet you they will tell you that they would never make a mistake like that again. The people on the board that pushed that "Dickey Dome" are not there any more. Time to fix REAL problems in our district now... like the 63 year old wrecked building we call a middle school that is in full view of every school in the district every time we have a football game. Shameful to expect children to think we care about them when the prisoners in the rusk county jail have better facilities by a long shot than we provide for them. Again.... the nice day thing.

A roller coaster would be nice too,...... but we don't need a damn roller coaster. I think the facility is really nice too, but I think that the board made a bad decision on the order in which they did things. Maybe after fixing NS and rebuilding the middle school this would have been a more popular decision. I love athletics but building that facility before fixing or rebuilding the schools is like putting a paint-job on a car that does not have a motor! Have a great day!
