So why are ya'll buyin out everybodies retirement except the union jobs? Ya'll been screwin the union employees with overpriced insurance, payin your nonunion employees at other plants more than their union counterparts and now holding out on their earned retirement. c'mon corprate spokesman, spill the beans right here. You jumped in here with your quick answer about e-mailing your Media relations but thats BS, they know all about spinning the truth so you tell us why your holding the union retirement back and giving it to every one else in your fine company.

Almost a year ago (Sept 15, 2012) someone calling themselves luminant employee says "They did put money back yada yada yada. So where did our retirement go? Union says "Company underfunded". Luminant says "Union won't come to the table and talk". Union says Luminant changed the date for a meeting and won't set another date. Union says Luminant wants to pay .80 on the dollar. Bottom line is neither side will communicate squat. Looks to me like the brotherhood wants a cut of the retirement pie and Luminant ain't quite figured out how to give it to the thieves. And we pay dues for what?

Luminant does not care about employees currently on payroll (union or not) nor do they care about past employees or their pensions, as will be evident when the company finally goes bankrupt and has a judge declare that creditors are to be paid in lieu of pensions. This company should have been brought to bear back when Comanche Peak was supposed to cost $800 million but ended up costing $10 billion. Management by idiot syndrome.

Sounds like Luminant is carrying on the storied tradition of TXU. When TXU had their big layoff 17 years ago it was total chaos. Management and the almighty union could not find their arse with both hands. TXU laid off some folks by mistake then turned around and had to call them back to work the following day. Union refused to discuss any type of severance package that TXU was offering. Just a great show all around. Was sure hoping Luminant would be able to carry of for TXU and it sounds like they are.

Looks like a bankruptcy filing may be any time now, but are any non union retirees getting medical benefits?

So where did Allan Koenig, the fine "corporate spokesman for Luminant and Energy Future Holdings, Luminant's parent company" get off to? I ask him a question 18 months ago and he never answered. Do ya think he was told to shut up ...... or maybe he took his big package and hauled arse? Still no info on where the union employees retirement money is or if it even exist.

The bankruptcy should not affect anything locally. It is just a process of restructuring debt and EFH Corp will probably sell the company.

Your post is an indictment of the union not the company. The union is the reason why employees are getting shafted. Dump the union.

Well no duh!! In addition to the union indictment my post was also an indictment of the company for not giving direct answers to direct questions which they've been asked numerous times by numerous folks. In my first post (18 or so months ago) I mentioned the word "spin". That's what the company does well, and spin with a different twist each time. Now the union reps and wannabes.....they just kinda mumble bull shit. Bottom line, ain't neither side gonna share the answer to the question "Where's my money!!???" And the answer is...they honestly don't know. The contribution in our behalf that was made before "competition" rest with Luminant. The contribution that was made AFTER "competition" rest with ONCOR. Think about that for a minute. The great ONCOR Ring Fence as they call it only has about one third of the total contribution made in a long time employees behalf. By the way, we're talking traditional retirement here, which would obviously apply to long term employees. Bottom line....a huge portion of our retirement funds are held by EFH, not ONCOR'S goofie "ring fence". What I don't understand is why the brotherhood ain't pushing these thugs to the negotiating table......but it's probably too late now anyway.

Not that this is any or your concern Sterling Marlin.
