Warrants, Arrests, Bail ???

If you have a warrant from another county
and you get arrested for the warrant in another county about 500 miles away (in Texas also)you pay bail and get out of jail, then what happens? When do you know when your court date is? Are you
arraigned? Don't know how the legal system works and was curious.

Contact the county that issued the warrant---find out which court your case is filed with and stay in contact with that court to find out your court dates and/or hire an attorney to file an appearance on your behalf and the court will notify you through your attorney regarding docket calls and court dates

Thanks for info Nick, this is not for me or anyone I know, I just do not know how the legal system works and wanted to find out. So do you have to have an attorney to bond out of jail? If your attorney is in ElPaso and the warrant was out of Houston, what happens then, do you need an attorney from ElPaso?

Sounds like a misdemeanor. You don't have to have an attorney but you're at a disadvantage. Local counsel generally is best. Stay in touch w/your bondsman as they'll know when you're supposed to be in court. However, the court should also be mailing the defendant/counsel court notices.
