I am starting this forum for people to talk about their feelings on the loss of Steve. Steve died Oct. 29, 2011 at the age of 31 in a house fire at his home. He was making a rescue attempt to save the life of a 11 yr old friend of his daughter's. Though his wife and 2 kids made it out, Steve and the little girl did not. If you are only going to criticize and make negative comments, do'nt waste your time. Move on to something else,'cause frankly we do'nt care how you feel.

I did not know this man but he definitely died a hero. Just a sad situation and my heart and prayers go out to both of the families involved in this tragedy!

Steve was my first cousin my mother is his aunt... He meant a lot to this family and no one can ever say a negative thing about him he always made the best of any situation and tried his best to help anyone that needed it ... He did what he felt had to be done and Although he passed away he left this world a hero he impacted so many lives and has accomplished the grand prize ... I know he is watching down on us all every day an I feel a little safer knowing I have someone up there in heaven on my side Steve is trully missed an whoever started this forum thank you for your thoughts. It is a very sad situation. Just please keep Misty and his kids, his sister Chasity and his father in your prayers. I also am a cousin of Steve's. The family lost everything in the fire, so if anyone has anything they can give (including pictures you may have) please consider donating to them. There is also accounts set up at some of the local banks and a benefit will be held in Selmer on Nov. 19th.

Steve was one of a kind, and an amazing father, husband and friend anyone could ask for!!!! He is nothing short of a hero and has always been. He's my cousin, and he would do anything in the world for me and my son! I thought of him like the brother that I never had and he thought if me like a sister. There have been several times he has taken up for me and been there for me! I miss him dearly, and wish SOO badly he was not gone! The day we lost him was the worst day in my life yet, he deserved many more years with us, and I wish he was still here!! It's still so hard to think about him without bawling my eyes out! I talked to Steve on a daily basis and I just wish so badly I could have just one more of his random txts making sure I'm doing ok, or one more phone call! You never know what u have until you don't have it anymore, and Steve was definitely an amazing person, and wonderful friend! Once you made friends with him, you had a friend for life that would give you his last dollar, his shirt off of his back, and risk his life for you as he did on October 29th. He has always been my hero, and now we have one hell of a guardian angel watching over us, and even though I wish I had more time with him, I wouldn't trade a second I spent with him for anything in the world! I have some memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life!!!!!!!! I love you and miss you SOO much, Steve!!!
