The mortgage scam article is unclear as to the benefit of those committing the scam. It is clear that inducing a homeowner to sign over their property under the pretense of avoiding foreclosure is illigal and fraudulent. The question remains how does the scammer benefit as it relates to Mortgaging this newly acquired property and to whom. The article leaves the reader with more questions then news worthy information.
