If they would put some dam criminals in prison the courthouse wouldnt be full in the first place. Same people every time court is going on.

Not to mention the associated costs of transporting the folks from the jail downtown out to the Biltmore Square site (and there would have to be secured areas for the accused to be served lunch since it wouldn't be cost effective to drive them back downtown to the jail for lunch....
Then there is the increased ridership on the buses that service that area and perhaps an increase in the number of routes to handle getting folks expeditiously out to Brevard Road.
And what about the economic side-effects of moving all the activity away from downtown - loss in revenues for restaurants, etc...
and then, what does the County do with that big empty (and historical society registered) building?
Sell it to a developer for condos?
Congratulations, you have all the qualifications needed to be a member of the Asheville City Council of Clueless Clowns and/or the Buncombe County Clueless Clown Commission. You have GREAT ideas on how to pi$$ away taxpayer dollars and could even learn how to divert them directly to your friends. You’re a natural! Local government needs you.

Bumcombe county should buy and move the county offices, court functions, and other county related activities to Biltmore Squate Mall.
Of course there will be expenses but there will be more in the long run if they stay where they are.
Sounds like another building that's about fall down around someone's ears, what call the name but the letters are CC, and this place has had plenty of reports done on it in the past few years and still nothing has been done. On well, Happy Trails..........

You are absolutely right. You just illustrated all the reasons the clownpaws want to move there. All that taxpayer money they can squander on their friends. The last line was great.

I guess you can take care of the drug problem by absorbing all of downtown into an ever-larger courthouse...
