I took my children to see the Christmas lights downtown at central park today. My two year old was playing on the train and started playing with a bell when a young mixed kid came up and snatched it from her hand. I was mad and said don't take that from her and gave it back to her. He kept doing it and yelling at her. He then pushed other kids down on the train. After 5 minutes of him being very rude to other kids I finally snatched my daughter up and got her off. This child's mother then came up and got her son. I told her she needed. To tell her son to be considerate of little kids and she said he's autistic so you freaking think about that.!!!! Of course I didn't know that AMD felt sorry for the boy. But wth was she??? Not watching her 5 year old that's for damn sure. Always keep an eye out on your children. Never leave them unattended especially for several minutes and especially a autistic child. This poor child has a piece of shiot mother. So many worthless mothers in this town.

You better beleave my son who is autistic doesnt get a free pass to be a brat like I see so many other "autistic" kids. Its just getting out of hand what these drs are telling parents to pacify them for their bad parenting skills. It really ticks me off when we are around other kids with this dx and they are pushing my son or yelling at him or snatching things from him, he gets withdrawn and upset that is autism right there. Sorry rant over.

My child sure doesn't get a free pass that's for sure she get's the same punishments as any other child.. and she's never away from me, that's a given.. can't stand to see any child running around with out a parent w/out autism.. Having Autism is no excuse to let a child misbehave...

You all are uneducated! Sympathyze...... It's a hard job raising a child who falls on the autism spectrum. They get over stimulated and misbehave...... YOU MOTHERS NEED PATIENCE AND NEED TO LEARN TO ADVOCATE FOR YOUR CHILD!

Just because a child is over stimulated and misbehaves is no reason to let them get by with it.. because then they learn that, they can use that to their advantage.. and to misbehave anytime they want and mommy or daddy will just say oh they are just over stimulated.. trust me I know my child has done this.. I learned the hard way.. and once I figured out her behavior pattern and stopped given in to her every little whim she stopped with the misbehaving all the time.. very rarely do I have issues with her throwing tantrums, because she has learned they do no good.. ty very much.. there is a fine line between Advocating for a child and just throwing them to the wolves one might say....

. Yes it may be hard to raise a child with autism but if you cater to them and make excuses for them your making it even harder on yourself as we'll as them. Autism isn't a end if the world diagnoses some of the smartest children I know have autism and as for the behaviors you can work past them and minimize them

eidrib41 can suck it and thats my educated thought of the day. Seriously my child is cared for by many types of therapists in our community, I see kids all the time with parents who allow them to act shitty due to their "autism" My son may vocalize loudly, spin or jump when hes overstimulated but when hes being a brat, well thats all it is and will be dealt with as such.

So because they have special need they can do what ever they want. Nope they need to behave too.

My child is also cared for by therapist in the community, and I as a parent also do the same thing as the therapist do... I work as a team with them.. not just oh its their job. u deal with the issue.. and it's ok let them throw a fit they have autism... that's a cop'out.. smdh.. how are these children ever gonna fit into this world if we as their parent don't in force some limits.. they may have autism but these children know more about life than u or anyone think they do...

Nessa how old is ur child and my child stopped talking at 2, and it took 3yrs of non stop speech therapy to get her to even start.. she's still in speech and talking yes.. .. but don't give up.. it takes time for some and love and patience for the talking yes,, but for the tantrums just becareful please.. don't give into every lil thing.. just my exper.. has been many ups and down's... with alot of hospital visits due to giving in when she was younger.. and this leading to major tantrums and harsher more agressive behavior .. they learn fast..they get what they want doing so.. just sayin...:) gl girl and best wishes..

He rarely has tantrums, Hes very passive and good natured but sometimes he does do things like snatch toys away from his siblings or take their drink snack watever and I deal with that behavior just like u would any other child. Im sorry if he can sign for that ipad when he wants it he can understand we dont take toys from other people.
