Milk prices good

its cheap cause it will go bad fast. get your dinner and go...don't shop for the week or it will go bad. its all food from kroger that is beyond what they call a reasonable shelf life..produce and milk is a steal in these places...but got to eat it fast..

I've used a lot of their products including milk and it is fine to date.. I think you're crazy!

I've been shopping at Rulers for almost a year now and never had a problem with their food going bad. Their milk is just like anyone elses milk - 2 weeks until it expires. Their fruit always stays good! Left a container of strawberries in my fridge for a week and they were still ripe and delicious! Have you tried getting strawberries at Wal-Mart? They barely survive the trip home before they rot!

Milk is .99 this week but didn't check the eggs. Someone posted about job opening and I noticed today they have hiring sign on door. It says all locations. Last week I bought 3 gallons of milk. We are almost finished with last one and no problems. Bought two more today. The multi pack of bell peppers is in my fridge for a week now and doing fine. It's the 2nd one I've purchased there in last three weeks. Twice the price at Walmart and Kroger for exact thing!

Wal-mart will price match. I went to Rulers to look. Not impressed. I saw broken chips crushed on the floor, the meat case was empty with bloody cardboard in it, and while there was a little produce, it was very basic. Coupons won't do you much good because they mostly carry generic brands not name brands. They remind me of Save A Lot except for the pay for cart deal.

I have been in there at least once a week. Sometimes twice and have never seen the mess you describe. I have always seen employees working very hard to keep things stocked and clean. You must have caught them on a rare bad day. They do seem to have trouble keeping up with the high demand as they are usually very busy. I was not able to get anything at Walmart matched except milk and eggs. Ruler is owned by Kroger and therefore they carry Kroger products. Sorry you were disappointed. It is a tiny bit of economical growth and that is a good thing. I have gotten spoiled meat more than once at Sav-alot and they were rude about it!

And Sav-A-Lot sure doesn't trim much fat off their meat either so whatever savings their meat may seem to be is mostly because you're paying for more fat and less lean meat.

I've not seen this mess either, and I've been there many times. I always see tons of employees working their tales off. I couldn't get Walmart to price match potatoes.

@Trim The Fat, My brother was a 23 year meat man at Kroger before his death. He used to go to training seminars and manager meetings and they always discussed how the meat was same at their discount stores as in the actual Kroger stores. They just pre-pack to keep cost down. Save-alot manager told me once (as I returned bad meat) that they can't be blamed because they get some or most meat pre cut. That does not excuse them for nasty meat! I agree with you about the fat!
@smh, Not only will Walmart not match potatoes, some of the cashiers won't even match milk or eggs! They fall back on that fine print that says it must be same size-same brand. They carry many items that don't come in same size. I think they do this so they don't have to comp prices! A couple of employees in Henderson Walmart have agreed.
You just can't please everyone. I am very pleased with the store. My mom lives in Madisonville and she wants to go with me the next time I go. Madisonville Save-alot closed on Center and she is on a fixed income and needs to save as much as possible. She too likes Kroger brand.
Rulers employees; KEEP UP THE GOOD WoRk!! There will always be haters, don't let them get you down!!
Oh yea! They do take original manufacturers coupons, no copies or off internet.

It doesn't go bad fast it is food ordered brand new it is not from Kroger it is just Kroger brand just like Walmart and SAMs do the Same thing
