Went to the Henderson er this morning with back pain and waited for about 25 to 30 minutes for henderson er thats a record believe that anyway Nurse comes in and asks me whats going on i tell her she asks what pain medicine have u taken in the past for this i said tramadol she says ok and leaves next thing i know here come Doctor Salmon and he says take a tyneol and leaves. These so called doctors dont treat the symptom they treat the person in other words they decide which ones they're going to treat and how now if you are like me and have come several times and I mean not every other day but have been there more than once for the same reason unless they happen to like you and you have great insurance be prepared to be turned down oh but the drug dealers can come in and get what ever they want and when they want it . There needs to more people complaining about this and even go as far as to picket this place and let these doctors know that we are fed up with there actions.

If you have chronic back pain why dont you have regular family physician care? Sounds like youre upset because they wouldn't give you pain meds. If that's the case you should have gotten pain meds from your regular doctor on Friday.

I went in for stitches, the stitched everything up in an hour

The doc came in and said "alright looks good" and walks away ... 4 hours later

Do yourself a favor and stay away from there if you are seriously injured because

They kaspered you and can tell that you are in there, or any drs office or hospital, for pain meds on a regular basis. Why didn't u get X-ray or MRI? Go to a chiropractor or family dr and get treated. Quit using the ER for pain meds. Your part of the reason healthcare is so out of control.

Methodist Hospital killed my Mother in 2010. I brought her to ER with a stomach virus , while I was registering her they took her back and treated her from another patients chart. When they finally let me and one of my brothers back there, she was unconscious and on a vent. The ER doc comes in and starts telling us her prognosis was slim, I said why? He said the last reaction to chemo was just too severe. I said my Mother has never had chemo. With several other diagnosis stated by the doc, I was repeatedly saying that's not my Moms chart. He said I'll call her doctor. The family doctor confirmed that my Mother did not have terminal lung cancer. The ER doc said I'll be admitting your Mom to ICU. She never regained consciousness .

That's what I was wondering as well, what did they give to her? They'd give the same medicine to a cancer patient that was vomiting as a regular patient

<quoted text>So just what do you think the hospital did to your mother who already had a stomach virus that lead to her death? What medicine do you think they would have gave her as "the cancer patient" that would have rendered her unconscious? I'm sorry you lost your mother but sounds to me like it was her time to go.
my mother had a severe intolerance to sedatives. They gave her 3 types that bottomed her out, then she was given a Volos of fluid to bring her back up and it caused a massive brain bleed. The doctor thought she was coming in with a bad reaction to chemo that patients chart was used to treat her. My Mothers chart was clearly marked that she was intolerant to these meds. She was sick on her stomach and had diarrhea.

Why would they even give her sedatives? That's ridiculous, sorry for your loss I hope you're suing, so it doesn't happen again.
They are supposed to ask for your name and birthday before giving any medications, sounds like they really didn't do their job.

Fluids don't cause brain bleeds...odds are she was having a bleed and that is why she was vomiting to begin with

First off its a BOLUS! Not a Volos. Second medication wouldn't cause a bleed. Really? Every hospital has someone that bitches and complains about their facility. And to the one that has been to
The ER several times for the same problem, go to a family dr. I promise your assistance will pay for that too. Leave the ER for EMERGANT patients. And great care is taken to ensure charts go with that person.
