kids should be taught at home how to sit at the table not climb in the chairs. not lay down and roll in the floor, and show alittle respect. From what i've heard, lunchroom monitors, exspically one, goes home with a headache everyday. Its bad enough that the kids get so loud, but turn the cd player on with it and you got chaous. I hope your child does not choke beacuse no one would hear them. Its happened before. Luckily, it wasnt serious. think about that when you say its alright to be as loud as they want to be. talking during lunch is fine but holler across the room, yell at your friends, stomp your chairs on the floor is a little ridiculous, don't you think?

I dislike all this useless negativity aimed at Mr. Whitesides, he is an awsome person. I knew him in school and my children had him for principal at Uniontown Elementary. I don't get on sites and say mean and hurtful stuff about people, don't you think it's hard enough to be happy without people trying to give someone they don't even know, or even given a chance, a bad name. I guess you're one of those people that get into everyone elses closet, yet yours is out of control for sure. I love to know truths, but I dislike someone trying to ruin other peoples life just because they truely need help and can't even see it. Why not try to love and be loved and make this world a better place.

people.the lunchroom is the least of niagara's worries. The computer lady and the principal hiding out all day in his office or him being negative to teachers or his lack of attendence at school events the list is long. If you pay close attention ther you can see all of the shady things going on.

This makes me laugh out loud! I have known the Whitesides for years! Amazing couple and a marriage everyone envies! Mr. Whitesides is new to Niagara and will make changes- and changes even though good ones- can be uncomfortable! The teachers that I have spoken to absolutely love him and appreciate his honesty and support. I've personally seen him at every afterschool activity that I have attended- with a huge smile on his face! Give the man a chance! He is a terrific person and the leader to the very best school in the district! Go Dan Whitesides and Go Niagara School!!

I can't say that I blame him for applying elsewhere....It sounds as if the quality of the parents has really gone downhill since my children went there.

He obviously has upset you in some way, but you are incorrect. It is ridiculous to attack others. If your problem is with him, he should be your audience. The responsibility of adulthood most often comes with the maturity of realizing that problems can only be solved with the people involved. Posting negative comments on a public forum is counterproductive.

Wow now I understand why our children act the way they do. I believe I grounded my daughter for this exact thing not a week ago! We need to treat others as we want to be treated, and EVERYONE deserves a chance. This is my children's first year at Niagara. We came from East heights and my children love it. They liked Eastheights but I see a positive change I'm my children here!

But you don't seem to mind being on here reading everything and giving your advice. It's obvious from the popularity of this thread there are some issues.

Don't assume by the name that I am a woman and that women cause issues as someone put in on here earlier......I could be a man and just be keeping my faith.:)

I love Niagara school and my kids have loved it in the past and mine that are still there love it as well.

Change is hard, even if it is a good change.

Parents deserve to voice their opinions anywhere and I would hope that if you are doing it on here that you have met with someone from school and voiced them where it counts.

Nobody will work for your child like you do yourself but the parent and the teachers must be able to work together.

I have seen the amount of parent volunteers go way down this year it seems and have wondered why.......I can't always be there myself but know of several that have given lots of time to help and I haven't heard of them being there alot now.

If Niagara wasn't a great school there wouldn't be so many out of district kids going there!

Niagra is a good school thanks to the good families that are there hard working parents and hard working teachers. Mrs. Sellers made that school a place teachers and families both wanted to be a part of. I am thankful my children got to have that while they were there.

My suggestion: stop patronizing the advertisers that support this filth. I for one will never go back to Barry's pharmacy.
