Is OneLife closing in Henderson? Money or tax issues? IRS has issues with tax status

Retro it's funny that you haven't made an effort to get to know these people! They are all real and you can't any more real than Pastor Bret.

I attend there off and on myself (whenever i can deal with the snobby people). I enjoy the messages because they are well thought out and written. Outside of that everything else brings the place down.
Where to start..well, how about the snobby people....seems as if you didn't come from Bethel you have no chance of getting any kinda leadership spot at that church. or if you haven't donated a large sum of money you won't get one either. I attended the "one life at a glance" meeting that follows each service...they talk about recruiting people..ALLOT. And in short, the more people you bring in, the better of a chance they'll donate money thus making the place even richer (outlandish).
Also, the music..okay, i realize everyone has different tastes in music. that's a given...but, does it require lasers, fog machines, robotic lights, and strobe lights with special effects with three huge movie screens ????????? This is a bit much and this is why I don't normally get there till after the music has stopped. If you set in the first five or six rows your going to be going home with a headache adn nearly deaf.
Also, it seems like they try to be a very tech driving church..look at their web site ! They even have a freakin Iphone Ap for their church ?????? isn't this a bit much ?
This is all just really nuts to me and seriously, Brett or Heath...if your reading this your really really shooting yourself in the feet. You turn people off by these overly done services. Tone it down and back some. Talk to the people that are in these "clicks" (spelling). These clicks (sp) aren't perfect..far from it...their on FB posting pictures of nightly outtings to local bars/resturants having a "good ol time" and then showing up on Sunday morning to rock out to overly loud music...
one life at a glance....??? more like "one life needs to re-evaluate" !
Attende maybe it's time for you to find a church that's right for you obviously One Life isn't it for you and that's ok. It only make sense to start with leadership from people that have already been doing it for awhile, other have been added in and more are being trained. If you don't like it go to the church down the street and find something there to complain about.

It shouldn't require an army to run a church service. And the "big deal theaters" ( as you call it) is ridiculous.... That space isn't bog enough to require that much screen!
You obliviously haven't ran a church service before. We all use our given talents to make it the bet it can be, that's what our God deserves! IF you don't like it go down the street to a church with a piano, singer, and preacher.

I thought the same thing about the Dave Ramsey course.....$100 to attend. To watch video that the church already owns. More like to make $100 off of each person that cant afford the ticket to begin with. If they were good with there money then they wouldnt need Ramsey. I say if you are trin to help the members than let them watch it for free... Also didnt agree with the fact that when they lauched the Dave Ramsey thingy.... the service the sunday before was like a " Sneak Peak" into what the course was going to be about. NO SERVICE what so ever. I mean shouldnt this WORSHIP concert be free. Sincerely I have never heard of having to attend events at church..... that cost $$$$!! And WHY do they need 3 big screens up front. Those things have to cost $1000's of $$$$! They purchased them at the same exact time as the local flooding.... I felt that the screens were a bit indulgent when the $$$$ could have went locally to help ppl. I dont attend there anymore either! All for Show and production as far as I am concerned. I know ppl that love it but they were "far from god" to begin with....
The Dave Ramsey cost are set by them not One Life. One Life didn't make a dime on it. But if you go through the course, listen and make changes you will be a better person because of it.

Truth about One Life is that Brett Nicholson found an avenue via Heath Farmer to start a church. Brett waited until he was for sure that the money would be there and then he sprung on Heath and the "Core" group that he would be interested in the gig. Being a dynamic speaker he convinced the other Bethel Temple faithful to folow after BT had collect 100k for the church start but doing so not knowing Bret was leaving to go. Brett was supposed to take over BT but a power struggle ensued and they bailed on BT leaving the mother church to hold the bag!

well even more christian love! You sound so pleasant! I'm pretty sure that OUR GOD couldn't care less about the over done 3 big screens! He sees all and doesn't need it! I bet if he would prefer the $$$ going to the needy .

OneLife is a "spin-off" of Bethel Temple in Evansville. Correct me if I'm wrong, because it's been at least a year since I attended a service at BT, but don't they serve communion every service to the entire congregation?? If so, why did the people who started the OneLife churches decide they had to make it something you "earned" through being a member of a small group?
I truly am not understanding this. I've grown up my whole life attending churches where communion is passed around to the entire congregation either every Sunday/every service or once a month. They don't discriminate or presume to tell their congregation whether or not they are "worthy" of receiving it and partaking in the spiritual event that communion is.
No Bethel does not do full communion every week. It doesn't have to be earned by being in a small group, but you should be a follower of JC before you taken it. It can be taken in small groups, on your own... communion isn't going to make or break if you get in HEaven.

So in other words this is a feel good church that has no real stance on real Christian teachings. Only the "elders" know how the church feels about key Christian teachings and they don't disclose this information to the congregation. All members should know how their church feels about baptism, communion, marriage, abortion, and so on.
Oh but they have good concerts. so that means it's a good church. Metallica puts on good concerts; all are welcome their too. Maybe I should worship at their concerts. Gimme a break.
Maybe you should seek it out yourself it's online at the site, duh. Some many of you are obviously from the churches that have lost members, key people, and have a little jealousy, but the thing is we are all reach people for the kingdom and that's all that matters.

So who decides if your a follower or not? Oh I guess if your in a small group then you are! And if your not in a small group than your not. What do wrong with wanting to take it with the rest of the church members like MOST churches do? That's the norm.
