It's called being from the south, or at least the backwards part of it. Like the teacher "learned" me good, or I have a scratch that needs to be itched. Has nothing to do with race, but your education & the area you grew up in. Just try talking to the older people of any race & you'll more grammatical errors than you can shake a stick at. We just happen to live in one of those backward areas. Doesn't mean you HAVE to talk that way though. Pay attention to what you say. & for goodness sake, there's this nifty thing called spellcheck on everyone's computer (really good thing to know if you're planning on bashing someone about spelling/grammar).
