I worked there this past spring on the bake furnace rebuild, it's ran by a bunch of NATZIS, worst working conditions I've ever worked in horrible management & communication skills

the down fall will be lack of experience crew leaders,all of your good experience union workers leaving the job (because they are treated like shit)the 398 systems not being replaced,and very bad ore.
we have told them what to do out there to save the plant and keep jobs around here but they just dont care.but what do you expect when its ran by a bunch of dumbass.

I have read the comments on alcan,what i have found is that all have truth about them, except the comment supporting capt. chaos aka the crazy canadian, he is not good for alcan, he can barely manage the plant, he has wasted so much money in the almost three years he has been here it's not funny. bringing in the scabs was one of his worst, they cant keep them from get quitting, things will not get better, alcan will only be a stepping stone workplace.

My step dad has worked there for 30+ years. A very hard working man that never talks bad about people and never complains. I never once heard him say he hated anything until Rio Tinto took over, he can't stand it and honestly hates his job. Is so sad to hear him talk about it, he seem to just get upset if you bring it up. He has even cried telling me it's just not what it used to be!!
