Do you think it's a long term job? I don't want to quit my current job of 10 years and 9 months down the road be out of a job. Any advice?

No I have a very stable and loving marriage. Just wondering if there would ever be a lay off or do you eventually get hired on full time through Toyota.

Everyone has a stable and loving marriage when they go there. That place destroys marriages. About 3/4 of the work force have gotten divorces or cheat on their spouses. I see it every single night

I've been there 11 years and still married. Most of the people I hired in with are still married. Depending on the department you get it can be really hard on your body. As far as layoffs, that can happen anywhere.

I work there and have for 11yrs. I am happily married and have never cheated on my wife. People cheat at every corporation in the US. Toyota just has 5000 people there is going to be some cheating. It is a very demanding place to work but they pay u well for it. As far as stability there is nothing 100% but there is nothing around here as stable as Toyota.
Even through Aerotec?

I worked with Aerotek last summer. It was just a temporary job, but i enjoyed it. A few tips: they do extensive drug testing. I'm talking piss and hair test at your physical before you ever get hired. Once you get hired, they have the right to drug test you on the spot whenever they feel like it. If you do any drugs, don't bother quitting your job.

Toyota is currently expanding. The production of the Highlander is about to increase immensely. That means a lot of work will be opening up with Toyota. A lot of work will mean a lot of overtime as well. When I worked there, I sometimes worked 55+ hours a week. It's not that bad when you're making $15/hr.

But do not be worried about being laid off at Toyota. Having massive layoffs isn't something Toyota does. You may have to work with Aerotek for a year or two before you are bumped up to a full-time Toyota employee though. And my father has worked at Toyota for over 12 years, and has never cheated on my mom, nor have they divorced.

Toyota is a good JOB, not career. If you are lucky enough to get a good job you will be lucky. If you don't, expect to have your body beat down.
ALL the people I got hired with have had some type of surgery due to there jobs, and some have been let go since they can't work because the injuries they got on the job.
It's good money, but expect to pay for it

Means if you tell them what you're on and as long as its prescribed to you you'll be ok, and yes they have benefits.

Don't go. If you have a good job stay. You will be on a bad shift for years. No life. Long way to drive. Been there done that. Found a better place to work. Better hourly wage. Much better hours and same benefits.

I know a single mom that works there with two toddlers, works messed up shift and never sees her kids. Just not worth it if you have little ones. You can get back the time missed with them.
