<quoted text>What an idiot? I do understand that. However, I also understand the owner has 3 other businesses in Evansville so did they close too? There is more than one person running the store. Hours posted are hours of operation. Only way I see a business closing early is if it is a small family owned business with a family emergency. Common sense will tell you that. I also understand this isn't the first time they have closed early. Guess they have alot of emergency? I highly doubt that. Let them hurt the business, isn't my damn problem. I just wanted to know why they would close early. Only business in town I know that does that! Pretty dumb if you ask me. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I have spoken mine. Now you have a nice day too.
Did everyone there have an emergency??? They all had to go home because they all had an emergency? Doesn't make since unless they are losing their business and can't afford to stay open !

They closed early because of medical emergencies and no available staff they are normally open their full hours. They have only closed early on non holidays like 2 times in the last 6 months

Truth is they dont have an emergency they have lazy drugged out employees who don't want to work. The owner is a big pot head who goes and smokes weed in Kmart parking lot before he goes into the store. The manager is a womanizer who always gawks over other men's women who are customers of his. He also likes to hire women who are single mothers and need a job because he thinks he can get in their pants. I am not a mother but I was hired by another employee of theirs. Don ended up having a relationship with one of his employees that was already pregnant. So before you go defending this place maybe u need to know the truth first then form your opinions on it. I don't condemn the coal miner for complaining about them being closed. Some people enjoy eating at Spudz and it's a damn shame they lie to people!

They had an oven break last night @ 9pm that late at night they had to wait until morning to get someone to come in and fix it. In the 5 months I've been there all the hireing comes out of the office in Evansville hence " why don didn't hire you " and if they hired all single moms why did you work there, and the last time I check don was still dating the girl he dated while he was there.

I never said it was an emergency I didn't say a reason but I know what happened. You are completely wrong about don. Im sorry your pissed about loosing your job there but don't bring everyone else with you. They had a good reason to be closed and thats why it pisses me off that you start a damn topic about it when it was necessary they close & you made a big deal out of it.

Actually IDC what you have to say. I am not wrong about Don and I am sure you are probably Don. I haven't worked there in a VERY long time. I am now a hairdresser and have better myself therefore I am not pissed about losing my job. The truth hurts! Everything I said was the truth. You can form your own opinion of him but one day you will see how he really is. Good night!

I believe the actual point being made here is if you have posted hours then you should be open when you say you are going to be or notify customers that you will be closing early. Not keeping posted hours is a sure fire way to kill a business.
Lol and how do you propose they notify customers? Aside from telling them when they call to make an order. durdurdur.

It's actually not that difficult. There are things called answering machines, social media, and a sign can be put on the door. However, there is no reason why they also can't find someone to cover a shift so they don't have to close early. As a business owner I have no problem doing these things. Keeping posted hours is important to continue doing business and as I understand they have a habit of closing early on Saturday night. Maybe they should look into new management.

It wasn't a employee problem it was a oven issue. Sorry for having to close an hr eairly on Saturday night. We had a repair man in first thing Sunday morning to fix the issue. If we knew it was this big of a deal we would of shipped potatoes in from Evansville.

No it wasn't directed at you. You was the last post so I replyed to it. I was just stating the reason we closed and that if I knew there would be 30 post over a broken oven or that we had to close an hr eairly I would of shipped potatoes from Evansville. Nothing against you. And I don't see anything that should of upset you. Sorry you felt that way

My point exactly. Any good business owner or good management would have done exactly what you said. Thank you for pointing those things out. They do have a habit of closing early on Saturdays. If it wasn't a constant thing I would have never started this post. The employee wasn't very friendly on here and obviously needs more training on how to properly deal with the public. That is probably why this Spudz N Stuff is closing early due to rude, hateful employees who lack training in their jobs and are running business off.

You would be incorrect. I actually do own a business in Henderson, a very successful one. Also I am not a man. Thank you for pointing out exactly why Henderson is turning into what it is today, because of trash like you.
