With 2012 over who is going to run. All I have seen so far is Gary Cook. Is Larry Smith and Linda Krupa going to run again? Who is going to try to clean up our city? Any suggestions on who should run. I Think Emily Quast-McDonough would be a good one she ran for Valley-Wide in 2012 and did pretty good. What do you guys think? Any rumors?

It's better than hiding in the closet with Petty and the other scumbags who have destroyed this Valley !!

Being "hillbilly" isn't the issue.

Many of them are all talk and zero action.

James McCue? Is that the hippy potsmoker dude?

Wow, she made a post on Facebook and now you idiots want to put her on city council. You sad uneducated people really make me sad. There really should be a test that you must pass in order to vote and that would eliminate all you slow, tailgating, imbeciles. Hemet is not mayberry and it never will be.

Well I can't confirm any of these but I have heard these names mentioned for 2014. But I remind you these are just rumors. Sean Weidmann, Emily Quast-McDonough, Bob Coleman, John Redden, James McCue, Rick Crimeni, Kim Ochoa, Melissa Galletta, Bristen Kruse, Gary Cook and always watch Jim Claverie he runs everytime. I also assume Larry Smith and Linda Krupa will run for re-election.

The tailgates arent "hillbilly" at all!!! Lots of nice, civic minded people who come together before monitoring council meetings. They develop a sense of community, not all there are members of Rebuild, but all have concerns about the valley!

Sean Weidmann and Emily Quast-McDonough would be a good pair also.

Rebuild isn't that bad but they do get a little aggressive at council meetings. I would say @rumormill that the list you got there has some good candidates and some bad ones.

Being "aggressive" at council meetings is EXACTLY what Hemet residents need to do! Stop the Petty/Stone BS, and get back to what is right for Hemet's honest citizens. Enough with the section 8 crap, and LA imports causing trouble. Keep HFD and HPD in force, and take Hemet back from the BS lowlife absentee/out of state/area landlords bringing such strife to Hemet! Enough with the "we accept EBT" signs everywhere! Hemet has always been a hard-working community, and needs to rid itself of the "takers"!

Hey "Rumor Mill" is there any truth to Stone wanting to toss Youseff aside after he gets Hemet to contract out fire and police? Heard something about negative publicity because of a friend of Youseffs?

Too bad Hemet residents are having their rights stomped on by members of the "puppet" Council. Five people decide on public safety for an entire community? Please. Put it to a vote of the people, let them decide if change is in order. And to "truth for change", I'm not sure Youssef is bright enough to know he's being played. Sad, really.

Five people don't decide. It only takes three marionettes and a City attorney that keeps a gag ready for any council member that is truly committed to serving the PEOPLE of Hemet. Even Stone has been quoted time and time again that he would NEVER give up local control.
Youseff WILL be discarded. He and our city attorney, along with past council members will take the fall. Youseff is destined to be a late night stock boy at Big Lots. Stone will step in and call himself a hero. All it would take is for Youseff to step up and be a real boy. Cut his strings and become a man. Even now, in light of our current situation in Hemet, he denies our Chamber of Commerce the opportunity to answer local business owners concerns. He is reported as saying that if HE dosent choose the questions asked....he will not answer anyone. Local control issues and his appointment of Milne....OFF LIMITS. The boy is off his lil rockin' chair and will soon understand the he is just as disposable as the diapers he wor only a few short years ago.

Emily Quast Mcdonough ???? The clerk at the tree service I used to go to??? I don't know about that. Since when does a clerk at a tree trimming service have the background or knowledge to know about city counsel affairs?? I went to school with her, and as I remember she had mediocre grades, attendance problems, and was an unruly teenager. She should stay out out politics, I think that would be a better service to our beloved Hemet and San Jacinto. She lost the election to Rose Salgado for a REASON. No qualifications!!! Please, Emily, stick to tree trimming and clerical duties. Thanks folks!

Wow, I have to say that the above is one of the nastiest, most spiteful and mean-spirited things I've read in this forum in awhile. A former classmate from high school publically casting aspersions on someone years later? Especially when the target of the nastiness is now a grown woman? Give me a break! Shame on you!
PS: I have absolutely no idea of who/what kind of person this Emily Quast McDonough is. I'm just expressing my disgust at the bile quoted above.

instead of just electing a new council lets elect our MAYOR, City Manager. enough of this BS of flip the coin to see who will be MAYOR this week!we are a backwards city, when things got good they blew it. how many times are going to rebuild Harvard st. doesn't even look like old Hemet, looks like palm springs. lets start by having a recall on the top three council cronies that need outside consultants to make their dessions is that not why we elected them, now we have two ex temecula numb nuts telling them what to do over paid don't even know were he is half the time! never should have let MARK Orme leave!!!!

Oh don't get us started on Rose salgado.

Do you really think people like Larry Smith and Shellie Milne got good grades? And who the f cares anyway? Btw-didn't Smith get a diploma mill degree? yes-the one where you fill out a form, send some money and then you get a piece of paper that says you have a college degree.
