Anyone know anything about manufacturing jobs in Hemet? I am a machine operator looking to relocate from godforsaken Texas. I've done smaller.desert towns in Cali before, the rent is cheaper and I know everyplace has it's ghettos. But I miss Cali so much. I never should have left!

ALL the manufacturing jobs in Hemet have dried up. Rent is cheaper here only because investors bought these house cheap and they rent them for anything they can get. Your better off living in Texas , moving closer to a big city but live in one of the smaller towns. Jobs are way more plentiful, and you can find more entertainment .

Yea, do what I did. I picked up my cardboard box, hooked it up to by 10 speed bicycle, and took off to Perris.(The garbage is more plentiful there).

we moved here 7 years ago after losing our home. This was the cheapest place to rent a nice big home at a great price. Since we first moved here we have bought a house in san Jacinto. Every town has it's bas areas and it's bad neighbor's but we like it here and have no plans to move anytime soon. All my kids have graduated from West valley high and if you teach your kids not to hang with the bad crowd then they hopefully will listen. we have had no problems.

I'm glad you are happy here. Many families are content, but are concerned over the increase of crime and violence that has jumped considerably the past few years. You might have a good family that keeps to themselves, but what about the random acts of violence and theft?

Your children are older, but there are kids in schools who bring their Compton thug life way of thinking with them. And their loud, rude moms are whom you seen flooding Walmart or grocery stores. All those ugly 'dollar' stores and check cashing places? Those stores cater to a certain clientele, and that is those Section8'er that now reside here.

Hemet is a good place to live, but it could be so much better,

There has not been any violence around where I live. It is quiet and nice. The people that lived in the house before me, never had one problem...ever.
