I moved here 15 years ago when Hemet was truly a world class city. Thanks to the egregious mismanagement by our city fathers, Hemet has become the dirtbag capital of the inland empire. We refuse to shop here anymore. We know many people who refuses to spend their hard earned dollars in this town where panhandlers are always hitting you up for money. I stopped shopping at Stater Bros. I spent $200. on groceries only to be approached by two panhandlers while loading my car. Same thing at Von's. Used to do all my computer business at Staples and Office Depot. No more. I refuse to be hassled by panhandlers. Whatever the city can do to get rid of these lowlifes, they had better do it now because they are less than one step away from becoming another compton. We do all of our shopping well away from this town. I will not willingly subject myself or my family to becoming crime victims just because Hemet wants to promote the wholesale importation of Section eighters, parolees and child molesters into this town. I hope the remaining citizens of Hemet who still have some skin in the game step up to the plate and vote to kick out these idiots and put somebody in charge who knows how to clean up this town and to kick out lowlife of every kind including child molesters, panhandlers, thieves, bank robbers, prostitutes, etc., everything that our city fathers now think is peach keen for Hemet.

How so? By not wanting to be harassed by panhandlers? By stating the truth...that Hemet is becoming a shit hole that only caters to section 8 people, parolees & pedophiles? He's right. Hemet used to be a great place. So much has changed in just the past few years. What used to be a quiet town now has a problem with gangs, thieves, prostitute, and druggies--thanks to the section 8 crap from Compton and other ghetto places of LA. Hemet can go back to what it once was, or even better than what it was, if some of these problems were addressed.

by complaining and doing nothing about it. Go to a city council meeting and put pressure on the fools running this city. Do something besides complain

Take out your cell phone and call the police. Panhandling is illegal. Sun City had a big problem with panhandlers and the people there stopped supporting them. Every time I saw one of them I just stopped and got out my phone and told them I was calling the police. The first few times they tried to argue with me but after that they took off. I haven't seen a panhandler in the shopping center over there for a long time. The police over there really helped get rid of them. If we could just close down the crackhead Motel 6 over there maybe they leave the area.

When a pandhandler asks me for money, I turn it around and ask them for a dollar, for the bus...that shuts them up

When I am approached by a panhandler I pull out my cell phone and call the police.
I report a crime and as I describe the panhandler
to them. The panhandler begins to walk away, While still on the phone I follow the panhandler and make sure they can hear me reporting which way they are headed. They usually pick their pace about that time and I stop following them but continue watching where they go so when the police arrive, I can point them in the right direction.
If a panhandler approaches me inside a store, I become loud and ask the panhandler to repeat what they said. Then I repeat it so loud that everyone around can hear. Then I yell out for the store manager, still yelling that the person is begging for money, the panhandler makes a hasty retreat out of the store. I dislike being hit on by panhandlers so I have decided to make it more interesting and draw as much attention to them as I can. I am always prepared for panhandlers who might become violent so that isn't a great concern.

All the Hemet panhandlers (and section 8 scum) should be given maps to a "better" place, much as other cities gave them directions/rides to Hemet in order to get rid of their own problems!

Hemet city councilmen were warned. They were told to stop putting out the welcome mat to section 8'ers, child molesters, other form of lowlife. They refused to listen. Screw them. I refuse to spend another dime in this town along with countless other responsible citizens of this once great town. We take our money OUTSIDE Hemet into communities that know how to run a town successfully, not into the ground like mindless Hemet politicians who are buffoons from another planet

Sounds like you may need to be one that leaves. Stop complaining and do something about it. Dont support your own town by shopping elsewhere. You are part of the problem.

[Since politicos don't even talk about the major shitholes their policies have created for hemet, voters beware. There is no future here unless you are a section 8, streetwalker, panhandler, bum, foot stamp recipient, and other form of riff raff who never learned the meaning of working for an honest dollar. Hemet politicos need to be shown the door and faster the better. I've said it before. No job with Hemet for more than a week unless you show you can improve this time; If you can't because you are too lazy, stupid, don't know how, out you go. Keep firing bureaucrats until you get people who can get the job done overnite. Not over the next fifty fucking years.
