I don't think that it was an insane asylum. An old Hemet home was turned convalescent home at the turn of the century. It is located on Thornton and Hemet Street. Pretty spooky place at night. Perfect for a horror flick!

The Fairview & Acacia/Valle Vista site was the old hollisic healing center it was be the equivilent to going to rehab today! All the big showbiz folks went there (Dolly Parton-that's where she lost all the weight at, Eddie Van Halen dried out there back in the early 90's)Hell they were there before the Scientologist's came to town. I heard it was a church now? But, insane asylum, NOT even! Stetson & Hemet St. more likely, I've lived a block away on Hemet St. for 40 yrs. & the place still creeps me out, never even rode my horse onto the property always went the long way around!!!!!

I went to the house on the hill above the high school (Stetson and Hemet St). Went through it, a little creepy, bloody bathroom that is totally fake, burned basement that is very dark-- bring a flash light. Just don't get caught I hear the cops aren't fond of people stopping by for a look. Doubt its actually haunted.

Hello. Please do not enter the building. I am contracted by the county to demolish the building starting June 22nd. The second floor was built without permits and inspection. No rebar was found in the structure and is in danger of collapsing. There is not very much structure holding the building up. The warning signs and barriers have been removed by vandles. It was not built as an asane asylum. The contidion prior to finishing and the length of vacancy stoked rumers of such.
