OK, but what is his name? "Matt" is not much to go on......

Why, the fellow would be Matthew Bassi, he was employed for a short time when the town was flush with money and hiring contract employees left and right. He was shown the door quickly because of his lack of skill, and his evident cutthroat personality.
That he's on even a short list for a job now, it's only because he is a friend of your idiotic City Manager.
It just keeps on getting better.
All you have to do is know a few people in the City Manager's office itself, this information is not hard to get.

hmmmm..haven't heard anything about Bassi. But I am not as close to the CM's office as you are. How soon should I expect this turd to re-appear? Is he a part of the Andrew Hall deal?

So far, the Hemet cops that I have talked to like Hall, and say he is wanting/trying to keep HPD in-house. Any inside info you have would be greatly appreciated.

Selling-out Hemet Refuse is the next thing on the agenda, right? I guess we will all find out soon, like tomorrow when the agenda of the August 9 council meeting is released. Then the decision will be made/announced the 9th, I assume? Or will it drag out longer, as every step of the process has?

Perhaps more highly paid "consultants" are needed?

you think bringing back Bassi is joke, how about giving the assistant city manager a 40 grand a year pay raise? supposedly he got that much of a raise when he "took on" the duties of the HR Director.

and btw, that's only because the admin just couldn't find enough of a weak kneed, simpering yes man to rubber stamp every wrong, illegal, and utterly immoral act that they do, until they realized that perfect patsy was right under their criminally insane noses the whole time.

handing this simp 40k a year was the best thing for them since Madoff hung out a shingle. he's been their lackey so well that he didn't even get a second glance for spending over A HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS to dump dirt and gravel along six blocks of ground in the ghetto and call it "beautification."

Yes, they'll sell the trash out as FAST as their corkscrew tails and cloven hooves will let them.

So ask this in a council meeting, just to make them squirm; since in the new, detailed contract for the assistant city manager NOTHING is stated WHATSOEVER about him running HR, why is it that his salary has NOT been adjusted accordingly?

Second, since Hall was "specifically" going to save the city 750K by NOT hiring a pd chief and fire chief, why is it that HIS contract payment has NOT been adjusted accordingly now that they are going to put Brown in as pd chief?

oh, so many questions, and so few words for the liars to come up with to KEEP ON LYING, CHEATING, AND STEALING.

Yup, the council meeting on the 9th should be interesting, to say the least! Pinning Chief Brown, and continuing the selling out of refuse. Soon to be Chief Brown is a good choice, he is a solid cop and a good man. Selling of refuse is just plain dumb, will cost every Hemet resident and business dearly, and will only serve to reduce service while increasing costs for that service. All in the name of circumventing prop 218, which will prevent Council and Manager from stealing refuse funds for application to the bloated "general fund", which they have done for years. If the city's own non-profit refuse dept were allowed to increase their rates a little, it would prevent the gouging about to "possibly" take place when a for-profit company takes over. Council and Manager would still find some way to raid refuse's funds, and lots more folks would still be employed, and contributing to the tax dollars in Hemet.

Bottom line, refuse service will cost more, and not benefit Hemet in any way. The increased costs will go directly to the for-profit CR&R, to pad their corporate greed.

All because Hemet's "top talent" at city hall have lost their cash-cow, the refuse dept!

Next will be Hemet Fire, just asked to do their own RFP, the first step in contracting out. Then Hemet PD. Soon followed by every City dept, at the detriment of residents services.

Once this is all done, Hemet residents can look back on the days when they had actual services, paid for with their own tax money. And they can wonder what went wrong, as they watch the "top talent" in Hemet pull a "City of Bell" on them!

The problems in Hemet lie with the overpaid/overcompensated "top talent" in power now, not with the working folks in the City of Hemet.

All "chiefs" taking the cash of taxpayers and no "indians" doing the work is not the way to go.

Yeah, the bill of goods we were sold about Hall was he was going to run both departments. What really happened was we just hired one of Joe B's employees to do what he was supposed to do---WHICH IS GOING TO COST US AN EXTRA $70,000 (on top of the original $130k Joe B. proposal)...

F-ing preposterous!!!!

Well, I have decided to follow this creep that is destroying my town. I know he has already put his feelers out looking for another job. I know a lot of people in this town, and most of them feel the way I do.

When he gets hired on at his next job, wherever that is, we will be steadily informing his new employer of his criminal activities.

Corruption, sex abuse, cronyism, the list goes on. It won't very pleasant for this creep.

Well, after watching tonight's charade of a City Council meeting I am even more amazed at the willingness of elected officials and City staff to lie to the public's face.

The decision to hire Mr. Hall is ludicrous. Mr. Hall will cost the City money that is going to produce absolutely nothing that any experienced City Manager should be able to tell you off the top of their head.

I'm sorry, but Mr. Nakamura appears to be essentially clueless as a City Manager. Quite frankly, his ability to think and reason is suspect, but his willingness to defend his obviously erroneous concepts by lying is astounding.

The poor beleaguered citizen, apparently a city employee that questioned the math involved in hiring Mr. Hall was lied to repeatedly in a desperate attempt to bolster the bad set of assumptions and lies spewed forth by the City Manager and his ilk.

The assistant to the City Manager put on an equally disgusting performance, literally lying and contradicting every sentence from his mouth in sequence relative to a web operation. Nothing he said was true in the world of computers and web operations.

Another citizen, questioning several acts on the agenda, was equally dismissed rudely and with much gusto, and again, all lies.

I'll be requesting the tapes from the meeting so that these lies can be dissected for possible prosecution, and if nothing else, ethics charges to be brought against these speakers.

More to come.
Mr Hall will continue to impede any type of solution oriented policing, eg prostitution, etc as to keep his solvent sAlery in tact. Just makes sense now doesn't it tbs Cit of Hemet lacks leadership & is in big trouble

The City should be renamed Nakamura's Butcher Shop.

It is rare to see one individual destroy an organization that has weathered over a hundred years of history, growth, depression and war.

Yet the City Council agenda posted on the City web site and available at the door speaks to exactly this, the wholesale slaughter and butchering of the City assets and finances.

By the time ethics violations bring criminal prosecution the damage to the organization will have proven fatal for the city and its people.
Nakamura is not running the city ... The billion dollar attorney is.... Because the council is too afraid to take one step without legal council ... Lotta green council & a Rich law firm

Teaman and Ramirez--check out article 18 on the agenda for 9/13/11. The city is further distancing itself from ANY responsibility with more "outside influence" and more lawyers!

Thanks, "Finance Director" Rita Conrad, for selling Hemet further down the river.....

Truth is Rita Conrad is a major problem. She has failed to write a complete budget every year she has been at the city. The "workers" in finance dislike her and she is here a day or two a week and works from home the remainder of the time. Her work ethic is terrible. If she never brings up solutions why have her on the payroll? A Director needs to trouble shoot and problem solve not just copy numbers to one column to another. If the city is going to contract anything it should be finance!

wow. I don't understand how anyone can avoid prosecution by leaving state. They would yank you back in a heart beat if there where real facts to base their case on. Obviously, there wasn't enough evidence. Yea, this city is corrupt but every city is corrupt; it's just that no one has caught them yet. Don't forget the Ayer's: they finally got caught. Give it time.

Well, "Truth4Hemet", does it distress you even more that your precious and wise City Council authorized the payment to John Davidson of a QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS in order to not reveal why he was fired? You do know, of course, just like half the valley knows, that is was because he refused to fire the then assistant city manager, worthless as he was, one Mr. Duane Baker, in order to hire ex City Councilwoman of San Jacinto, Chris Buydos to the position, in order to follow John Petty's instruction?

Even though Petty is hiding his sexuality, he does date women that can serve him. And she was on his arm long enough to try to take over the Hemet ivory tower at the time.

Does is pain you to know that the City Council members in San Jacinto, with the exception of Ayres, literally went to jail for trying to bring development to their town? True, dumbass. The money laundering was just a step in that process. If you have paid any attention to your little valley you may have noticed that Hemet has failed to grow at anywhere near the pace of either the region or San Jacinto. Ayres was just an evil lowlife, like the rest of the so called power players in this charade.

That is because it operates under orders of the Chaudri movement to strangle and stagnate the Hemet infrastructure in order to enable a takeover by the County. Where, oh, yeah, that's right, John Petty holds sway, protected by Stone.

Are these truths too ugly for you, Truth? Why is it that you seem more offended by their mention, instead of the probability that they are true?

Minor, Gosch, and the rest of the so called valley elite are dead set on cutting the nuts off of their own middle class, having learned that lesson from the national and global scene.

Low class doesn't want to get rid of the middle class. Middle class doesn't want to get rid of the middle class.

Only class that has anything to lose by dilution, is the upper class.

And they are out to preserve the gap between them and you at all costs.

Be a willing sacrifice. Knock yourself out.

They mistakenly think that being king of the blind is still being king. Like the rest of the failed adaptations of nature, they too will find out the hard way that it really does take a village, and not just to raise a child.

You and your kind will pave their streets with your bones.

Does it pain you to know that the police chief, Dana was forced to retire after he pulled what strings he had to punish Franchville for being a PettyPuppet, and got him reassigned to an insignificant desk job, far away from the PIO post that gave that gnatbrained moron the attention he so desperately craves?

Small pond, big fish, but the water is still being poisoned. Hope you like the taste.
